Well.. the TPM may not be the smartest out there... but I doubt the whole board would be lying... quoting directly from the board: quote: This is the summary Pokemon found there(it has it's fair share of pokemon) horsea tentacool tentacrul(yellow only) krabby magikarp golden staryu shellder(red only) poliwag(with good rod) (probally more if we can find a way to the grass patches)Loction on map sea rout 22 the cheat Go into the Safari Zone and say YES that you want to catch Pokemon. Go into the first rest house in front of you. Talk to the man with glasses. Leave the house and try to leave Safari Zone. When he asks you if you are leaving early, say NO. It will make you walk back into the Safari Zone. Leave again, and once again say NO. When you go back into the Safari Zone, save your game and then shut it off. Turn it back on. Go out of the Safari Zone. This is when the first glitch appears. Instead of asking you if you want to leave early, he asks you if you want to join the hunt. When he asks you this make sure to say NO again. Walk out of the house and FLY to Cinnabar Island. SURF up and down the coast until there is the gong you usually hear in the Safari Zone. The game then warps you back to the Safari Zone and the warden asks if you had a good haul and so forth. Leave the building, and when you go outside you are in a strange "Glitch City." It is very easy to get trapped in here, and the different glitches make it hard to move around. Some things to try are fishing, SURFing, and trying to find new paths. Just remember, nothing is what it seems. This trick does not appear to ruin any other part of the game, but it is still in development. If you want to get out of the city, you must FLY out and save. (thanks to copy paste and pokemasters for the cheat) Works on Red-Yellow-Blue Charecteristacts uncutable bushes, the only way out is to fly, most pokemon other than magikrap are at lv 15 some of my quistions
Does it work on stadaim? How many mew cheats will this lead to?What happens if you go back into the safairi zone and not out the door? ways it makes bad stuff happen it makes pikachu sad in yellow

*News Flash !* I went to my friend's house to try out the glitch on his ROM. I followed everything, until I realised he haven't went to Cinnabar. So I flew to Pallet and surfed there, meeting some tentacools, running away from them. We surfed up and down for a long time, but to no avail. So I just went to do the missingno. code for fun, and we met one. I caught it with a masterball and it went to the PC. I deposited Jolteon, and took out Missingno. It was at Level 200+(can't remember). I looked at its stats and the picture and cry turned to Rhydon's ! But its name was still Missingno. I checked its stats and it turned from bird/forgot to rock/ground ! We surfed up and down still, meeting another Missingno. We fought it and defeated it. Missingno. Aka Rhydon grew one level, but instead it grew to level 100+ ! We fought some more pokemon, like Pidgeottos and Clefables (still doing the missingno. code). Suddenly, Ding Dong ! Your safari game is over ! I was wraped back there and I walked out of the building, expecting to go to the "Glitch City". But, I walked out of the Cinnabar Mart ! I walked in again and it was the still original Mart. (Fingers hurt from all the typing). Freaky !------------------

WARNING: I ADVISE ALL OF YOU TO BE CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS TRICK. IF YOU TRAVEL TOO FAR TO THE RIGHT, IT MAY SHOW A SCREEN SAYING THAT YOUR GAME HAS CORRUPTED AND YOU WILL LOSE ALL SAVED DATA. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ONE TIME SO FAR, BUT I PULLED MY TRANSFER PAK OUT, TURNED THE SYSTEM OFF, PUT THE PAK BACK IN, TURNED THE SYSTEM BACK ON, AND ALL MY SAVED PROGRESS WAS FORTUNATELY STILL THERE. IT STILL HAS POTENTIAL TO ERASE THOUGH, SO BE CAREFUL! TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE I ADVISE ANYONE DOING THIS TRICK TO MOVE YOUR POKEMON TO THE N64 BOXES IMMEDIATELY! Sorry to type in caps, but this was urgent. I thought I had lost my whole game, you can imagine how shocked I was! But I got lucky, so please heed this warning. Thank you for reading this urgent message.------------------ the name's two, mewtwo.......AgentM2!!! This is odd, perhaps if someone walks in some direction in "Missingno. City" (that name seems SO appropriate) by either 15 or 22 spaces, they will fight a Mew, just a random thought, could be totally wrong. It WOULD be weird though, what would be weirder is if you CAN'T catch a Mew that way, then you will know for a fact that the only way to ever catch a Mew by going through the existing game code, is to get one from Nintendo's Mew machines. Hmm, soon enough Nintendo is going to put the ability to transfer Mews to your GB cartridge into those Blockbuster gaming cabinets, for a price.------------------ Welcome to DJ Inc., where everything is JUST fine.

I did extensive testing on this long, long ago. All that's happening is when you leave Safari Zone after the time is up, since you weren't in Safari Zone, the pointer to the Safari Zone exit is pointed elsewhere. Be in town, and it'll point to one of the houses. Be away from houses, and it'll point basically in the middle of nowhere. So, you're still on that same location, but the map is mis-read. For example, on Red/Blue English, go to Fuschia City, as far south as you can go without SURFing (where the SURFig Mini-Game would be in Yellow). Then, when you leave the Safari Zone Entrance from time running out, it looks to roughly 00002443 in the ROM for the map. That pointer is actually for the number of items sold in Viridian City. So, as you want over the map, you're actually walking over the items sold in stores, just re-written as a map.If you battle in the Tall Grass, you fight the Pokémon that would exist in that grass if the map was normal. Fishing/Surfing follows along with who you would find Fish/SURFing as if the map was normal. --Meowth346 ------------------ Researcher in charge of Pokémon Forever, a compilation of about 1/1000th of my work.

Remember the Walk through Walls code?If you used it to go too far off the regular map, the game would crash. Same concept here -- if you try to venture too far into the glitch city, you get the same effect. My guess is that the game crashing is an intentional error point set by Nintendo to prevent bad things from happening if some way were discovered to go outside the boundaries of the normal map. Once you try to go outside the boundaries of this "glitch" map, that same error point takes charge and shuts it down. This is just my theory, though, to explain why the game doesn't crash immediately upon entering the "Glitch City". ------------------ Kamek, Master Magikoopa Admin: Kamek's Kastle Forums Forum Moderator: Gameshark Central Forums

So, my theory as to why the game doesn't crash instantly is you eventually run out of shops, then you reach a point (A) where you are blocked. If you venture one more space somehow (B), you run out of space altogether and are stuck in between walls A, C, D, and E (A behind, C in front, D/E on either side) on a block of pure glitch. The game has a semi-crash by putting up D and E to stop you from traveling onward, therefore making you (Player) turn off the game or risk losing Player's data.

Long ago, I made a chart of the map tiles per hex value, for all 256 tiles (though only 100 or so are used), plus I made smaller charts for inside various houses. In the "Glitch City" as people seem to prefer calling it, though it you're on Route 5, it's not a city, I would just look at 3-5 tiles, and look up their hex values, open the ROM in Hexecute, and put in a hex serach for the string of 3-5 values. If I get more than one result, I note the location, and try a different string, in hope taht it will either produce on outcome, or multiple outcomes, only one near one of the previous outcomes. (Have I mentioned that I'm horrible at explaining things?) So, with my handy-dandy map hex chart, I can easily determine where the map pointer points to. And, if I could find the upper-left corner of a map without stepping onto space that doesn't exist withing the ROM, I could find out where the map starts, and find the pointer that pointed there. But, since I have no reason to discover such things, I have had no reason to look. There are much more important glitches to be studied and researched. --Meowth346 ------------------ Researcher in charge of Pokémon Forever, a compilation of about 1/1000th of my work.

What I didn't like about the old world is that the Pokemon are still at the same levels as they were in the original games. It's rather silly to have beaten the Elite Four, then fight your way into a new area that has Level 2 Pokemon...
