ok, i've done the item cloning and got my rare candies and masterballs ready to catch a ton of pokemon.... but what is the best way to raise the lil' buggers??!?!

Someone just told me raise them by hand instead of rare candy and box trick, but I thought I had to rare candy them to lv 50 to see if its anygood on the stat/skill finder. Or is it best to save game then rare candy the lot of them, see who is best then restart from save point and keep the good one to raise to a powerhouse?

confused.

I'm cufused about how to read the stat skill finder... which numbers am i supposed to look at the ones on the left (wild) or right (level)? If its the left then I;m close on some stats and even maxed on one in a couple situations. If its the one on the right then I'm no where near... also i've rare canied everyone up to 50 but didn't save yet...

If you're going to use Rare Candies to reach level 50, that's fine, but whether you reset after checking stats or continue from level 50 doesn't effect your Pokemon's outcome if you use the Box Trick. While a level 50 Pokemon will reach level 100 quicker, and therefore won't be able to raise its stats any higher through level-raising, the Box Trick will allow you to keep training and raising stats.
When it comes to the Box Trick, this won't really matter much until you reach level 100. I'm certain that either someone else will comment on this further, or maybe its explained here at Azure Heights.

As for the Stat Finder, I never understood that, but thinking back to it, I would *think* that the numbers on the left meant that it's a Pokemon that was just caught, and on the right is probably the stats for the Pokemon once its been fully trained (inclduing using the Box Trick if needed).
So, if I'm correct, though I may be wrong, you would want to refer to the numbers on the left.

Ta, thanks heaps meowth. ummm, so I can rare candy them up to 100 and box them till they get their max stats right? But of course I'd only do it to the ones that are worth doing it to, the ones that show max base stats say at lv 50. hense shoving a ton of candies down their throats... I think I get it now, thanx again.

There's a lot of tips in the Compendium. Check out the articles on Training and The Box Trick on the main site.
