If the variable (so quaintly termed 'R') is at 4, for example, and cumulative, does this affect both pokemon's damage (if both were poisoned) or only one? Thanks in advance.

And sorry to have so many questions, but I presume the increasing damage isn't affected/increased by clamp/wrap?

Both monsters? Don't know. Probably not, there seem to be quite a few variables that are hidden and one copy is kept per monster.

Haven't tested it, though.

Clamp/Wrap are attacks that use the normal damage formula, just like any other attacks. The only differences are (1) they tend to be really weak, and (2) they prevent the opponent from striking back.
