Well, I just hapened to stumble over this little combo while training my Beedrill. I used Toxic on a wild Pokemon, and Pin Missiled away. It seemed to work pretty well, a bit better than Toxic/Spin with Fire-type Pokemon. Has anyone ever used a Toxic/Missile combo with Beedrill or Jolteon before? If you have, tell me how it worked for you. This combo is where I'm doing a lot of my research, so any input will be greatly appreciated.

How can it work better? Pin Missiles doesn't use up turns. All 2-5 of the attacks occur on the same turn. Fire Spin spans out over 2-5 actual turns; hence Toxic has time to ampliphy its power. I love Beedrill, but that tactic doesn't seem to work at all.

You must have been fighting a real weak pokemon when you tested that combo. I agree that spin/toxic is better.

Erk....I just tried this "combo" on a friend's Hypno. It worked fairly well, not as well as other Toxic/???? combos. Maybe I should quit my day job and try working on another Beedrill strategy. Strategies not made for Mewtwo killing, but for other Pokemon killing(people just don't like Mewtwo around here). Well, I'll hit the books and research some more possible combos/strategies.

The best Beedrill Strategy, my favorite, is Sword Dance! All of its good attacks are multi hitting. Double Team, Dance, and blow 'em away with a volley of Bug attack!

I noticed that Toxic seems to decrease defense overall.
