What's up with these moves? I've been looking at them and can't figure out any worthwile strategy they could work in. I mean, why waste 2 or 3 turns in order to just heal or do damage?
Is there some way that these moves can be used that makes them relevent?

Project Pokemon Creation (PPC) had a trait called "Happy Belly", where you gain a stock point every turn... made them [and the poison type move of it] useful.
Other than that.... no clue. Probably same reason we have Scratch and Tackle.

Perhaps a Toxic stall set just to waste time... Toxic first then stockpile and recover when weak.. spit up when you can grab a ko..
There's probably no worthwhile uses for it, though, and it's just one of those moves that attempts to make the game intertaining.
