I think I found something massively nasty while I was poking around. If you can just manage to breed this (it's tricky but doable according to White Cat's list)...

Wailord's defensive stats are horrible IIRC..aside from his HP (which is only a bit better than Lax's anyway) he's more or less defenseless.
Double Edge would be a little too tricky to breed, if you really wanted to go through with it why not just stick to Return?

I see your point here, although Wailord's HP is 2nd in the game, quite excellent there. Maybe if you dumped Curse and Double-Edge for Return and Amnesia? Too bad it can't learn Calm Mind...

Man, I don't get why you people don't GET IT.
So let me say it.
Curselax was Curselax because it had a high attack and IT HAD STAB ON NORMAL MOVES. In addition to having a high HP and decent defense that could be boosted by Curse, IT ALSO HAD A VERY HIGH SPECIAL DEFENSE AS WELL AS NO SPECIAL WEAKNESSES.
This is why neither Walrein nor Wailord would work.
Practically anything could curse in GSC. That never made them Curselax.

yes but in R/S you can mess around with stats more to get closer to the Snorlax effect.
anyway onces i get more Saphire cart (it not been released in the UK yet) i'm going test this guy to destruction!!!!!! (might try Slaking with build up and high special defence too)

What? No it's not. It's gone in the opposite direction. Even if you *had* a Snorlax in R/S, it wouldn't rock as much as in GSC, if only for the fact that now you can't max out your HP, attack *and* defense all at the same time.

Yet another mention. Double-Edge now has the 1/3-damage recoil. More bang for your buck, which isn't a good thing in this case. ![[Embarrassed]](redface.gif)

Remember, Curse is a breeding move for Snorlax. Block is learned naturally as well.

double edges recoil was 1/4 befor right? anyway with personality types 0.9 and 1.1 don't sound big but that would send a 250 stat to 225 and 275!you can change stats more and you must remenber that everyone pokes have been affected by stat experince cap so if you really put up your hp it will effect things big time compared to just have straight even stats.

Also Muk has a pretty good stat distribution for cursing; too bad poison type is junk in terms of attacking.
Torkoal can curse/amnesia/body slam, but gets no stab and doesn't have the hp.
There is no RS curselax. PS: that is a good thing.
...Now instead we have fucking spiky skarmory.
