Do reflect and lightscreen work the same way in Pokemon Stadium 1 as they do in 2, or is the damage reduction restricted only to the casting pokemon?

In Stadium 1, it lasts indefinately, works only for the user, and doubles the opponent's defense (and is subject to rollover).

In Stadium 2, it lasts for 5 turns, whoever is the active pokemon will get the benefit, and it halves the user's defense while quartering the opponent's appropriate offense.

I'm pretty sure it works that way, unless they changed it from gameboy behavior.

Edit to change some wrong RBY info.

I think you mean it "Doubles" the user's defense. Reflect doesn't halve the user's defense. It double's the users' defense, and in the case of Light Screen, it doubles special defense.
