I'm officially on the Azure squad.... well, sorta. So my team needs teh h3lpz0rz. Here we go!

Starter:
Raichu
Thunderbolt
Surf
Thunder Wave
Reflect/body slam

OR

Jolteon
Thunderbolt
Pin Missile
Thunder Wave
Reflect/Light Screen/etcetera

OR

Zapdos
Thunderbolt
Drill Peck
Thunder Wave
Reflect
Either way: Paralyze. I aer teh paralysis whore.

Dugtrio
Fissure
Earthquake
Double Team
Rock Slide

Come in after their team is sufficiently fucked with paralysis, DT, then proceed to fissure their pansy asses. Rock Slide for birdies. I think he's standard.

Hypno
Psychic/Seismic Toss
Thunder Wave
DT
Rest/Seismic Toss

I fought one of these once- it was the fuckedest-uppedest thing I ever saw. Besides, how many people use Hypno? I need SOME variety! XD

Articuno
Ice Beam
Body Slam
Double Team/Substitute
Rest

DT, smack. Any questions?

Chansey
Thunderbolt
Double Team
Seismic Toss
Rest/softboiled.

Chansey= goddess of STALL [Big Grin]

And

Vaporeon
Surf
Ice Beam
Double Team/body slam
Toxic/rest

Ehh, I needed a water type and I like Vappy...

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
~Z

Hi.

Raichu: It's ok.. I have never seen any point to having defense boosting moves without recovery though.. So use body slam.

Jolteon: Again with the defense boosting moves thing, also pin missle is glitched on PBS, so for this tournament you wont be able to use it. Focus energy is good for use on Azures PBS, I am not sure about on MarblePalace's; hyperbeam, body slam or sand-attack could be used also -I don't have any real preference.

Zapdos: Same deal with the defense moves, unfortunately there are no other decent choices.. Most go with light screen, but I would recommend rest.

Dugtrio: I believe evasion will be banned in the IBT, so you probably shouldn't use it.. Sand-attack, substitute and slash would be your other options in that spot.. Actually, come to think of it OHKO's might be banned as well..

Hypno: Ok, drop the evasion. Definitely keep Psychic, and thunderwave, I would say Hypnosis could come in handy as you have no other sleep moves on this team, and then either rest or seismic toss in the last slot.

Articuno: Hmm.. It can't learn bodyslam unfortunately, so I normally use double-edge, or you could try Blizzard, which is useful for it's ability to 2hko almost anything non resistant. Sub and rest.. I have never tried anything like that, so I dunno if it would work, but reflect and rest definitely could. If you like you should try sub and see what transpires..

Chansey: Yeah, Chansey can stall just fine without DT or minimise, reflect could help you out there, but I would prefer T-wave. And I think you should try icebeam over seismic toss for defense against Rhydons, who could set up a substitute that your Seismic toss would take 2 hits to destroy.. Plus the chance of freeze is always a bonus.

Vaporeon: RBY is too quick of a game for toxic to ever be worthwhile, you are usually just better off attacking. Bodyslam could come in useful, and for the last spot, you could try focus energy for Azures PBS, but otherwise it would be mostly a filler.. Maybe sand-attack or something.

Ok, overall, it looks alright, your biggest issue will be with a Rhydon.. because Articuno can't switch into a rockslide, then if you use Zapdos, you wont be able to switch it into Rhydons attack, and Vaporeon will eventually faint if you try to switch it in too often. Jolteon would allow you to bring in Articuno once, but after that it would be risky, and if they have substitute, it would be impossible.. So I recommend using Raichu as your electric type.

You could try switching Dugtrio for something with greater defense for added Rhydon protection. Which would probably have to be Sandslash.. It could use most of the same moves as Dugtrio as well as swords dance. This is all the more relevant since you wont be able to use Dugtrio as an OHKOer properly..
The other issue I could see you having would be with other Chanseys.. This can be a difficult problem to deal with, I also can't see any obvious solution to it with your team. Zapdos would be useful, but then you have Rhydon to worry about; or you could try giving Raichu Submission, but it would be very risky..

Other than that it looks quite nice.. Pity the competition rules screwed you over a bit..

Good luck in the competition, and Have a nice day.

I'd go with either Zappy or the wet rat as a starter. The only reason I'd use Jolt as a starter over the other 2 is for speed purposes, and after one shot of T-Wave, all 3 of them would be faster anyway (if opponent does not have T-Wave himself). All 3 have (or could have) Reflect, T-Wave, and T-Bolt. This leaves one slot open for an extra attack. I'd rank the attacks in this order: Surf > Drill Peck > Pin Missile. The top 2 are a toss-up, but I'd rather go with Surf for Ground/Rock backup.

Dugtrio: Actually, I think the standard is EQ, Rock Slide, Sand Attack, Slash/Fissure. The reason Sand Attack is used instead of DT is that Duggy will eventually be killed before he gets up enough DT's to matter. Sand-Attack is there cause it effectively kills the accuracy of the opponent even if Dugtrio dies. Basically, what all that means is, if you think Dugtrio can survive for awhile, use DT. If you think it's gonna die quickly, use Sand Attack. However, I'd rather just go full-out attack, making DT/Sand Attack pointless.

Hypno: very interesting, most go with a T-Wave, Psychic, Headbutt, Meditate setup. But if you can get DT/Rest to work, go for it.

'Cuno: If you want to use him as a staller, use Ice Beam as the only attack, and throw on DT, Rest, AND Substitute. If not, you could always throw on Fly instead of Sub.

Chansey: Softboiled is probably better in case someone is hiding a Swifter in their lineup somewhere. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

Vappy: DT/Rest is probably the way to go on this one, but there's always Acid Armor/Haze available as well.

Overall: Looking back over the team, Zapdos might be the better choice, due to the fact that you might have a hard time with Eggy's (only Cuno and possibly Vaporeon are suited to take it out). I guess it depends if you fear Eggy or a Rock/Ground more.

How _COULD_ I have forgotten the stupid Egg-thing? Thanks for catching me on that one, Turbo X.

Also, I must have been REALLY sleep deprived that night..... I don't normally use any Pokemon that could be mistaken for a three-headed dildo. So, byebye Duggy. Also, I fear no fucking palm tree, so the wet rat it is. And since I probably WILL have trouble with the stupid Egg-thing... Charizard! I choose you! (Oh, bite me, it's the only fire type I know of that learns Earthquake, even if it IS weak to electricity...) So here's the revised team.

The butt-pirates, V 1.1 ( [Big Grin] )

Raichu
Thunderbolt
Surf
Reflect
Thunder Wave

WET RAT SMASH!

Articuno
Ice Beam
Fly
Double Team
Rest

You want to know the sad thing? I've used this set for _YEARS_. Tsubasa flies again!

Chansey
Ice Beam
Seismic Toss
DT
Softboiled

Stalling Chan-chan. Whee. HAPPY RUCKY FUN TIME!

Charizard
Flamethrower
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Body Slam (if he learns it)/Double Edge (Unless he can't learn that either)/Swift (I KNOW he learns THIS) He has OK attack, and maybe he'll be able to get one SD off before they send Zapdos/Rhydon in to eat him, in which case he can Earthquake Rhydon.... or run screaming like a little girl from Zapdos. And, on that note... Screw it, Chansey's getting Ice Beam instead of t-bolt... I was going for high PP, but then, she's an attack magnet anyway, she only really NEEDS softboiled and DT.

Hypno
Psychic
T-wave (sorely tempted to drop this for S-toss, simply because most of the rest of the team has a paralyzing move)
DT
Rest

With his slightly-better-than-Alakazam defense, he's _FUCKING ANNOYING_ when he's DTed up. Swift? Pffft. HYPNO SMASH!

Vaporeon
Surf
Ice Beam
DT
Rest

Simple, straightforward, and oh so much fun. Kill, Vappy, kill.

Okay, I've probably got more issues than Michael Jackson, but there it is. Rate away, rate away, rate away.

All of the above. Team looks a bit better now without the 3 little dildos wandering around anymore.

I know that NOW. I didn't THEN. So the team I'm using is:

Gengar
Hypnosis
Seismic Toss
Dream Eater
Explosion

Exeggutor
Psychic
Mega Drain
Sleep Powder
Explosion

Articuno
Substitute
Blizzard
Double Edge
Rest

Starmie
Blizzard
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Recover

Tauros
Body Slam
Earthquake
Horn Drill
Hyper Beam

Alakazam
Psychic
Seismic Toss
Thunder Wave
Recover

Does that meet your approval, JManCool? I hope so.... the Fishinator straightened me out on it, after all...
