I've got this small army of Pokemon set up for Blue cartridge battles, usually around level 70. I use a clone team on PBS sometimes. I just wanted to post it and see if anyone wanted to comment or anything. It's almost nostalgic to work on RBY teams again...

Hypno
-Seismic Toss
-Psychic
-Reflect
-Thunder Wave

Hypno is usually my starter. I know he's no Alakazam, but he's got decent defense and special, and I think he's great fun to use.

Gengar
-Explosion
-Psychic
-Seismic Toss
-Confuse Ray

Gengar has been on almost all of my RBY teams. I really like this Pokemon, and he's a strong fighter.

Blastoise
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Body Slam

Blastoise might not be a Starmie or Slowbro, but he gets the job done as my Water type. His moves cover some of his weaknesses, and Body Slam is always nice for paralysis.

Clefable
-Body Slam
-Thunderbolt
-Minimize
-Rest

Clefable is another staple on most of my teams. Sometimes I use Wigglytuff with a similar moveset. I had Thunder Wave, but Body Slam paralyzes a lot, and I like Minimize/Rest. TBolt is there because this team is lacking an Electric.

Tauros
-Double Edge/Body Slam
-Earthquake
-Horn Drill
-Rest

I hate having Rest on Tauros. Anyone got any suggestions here?

Marowak
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Focus Energy
-Fire Blast

I realize Marowak doesn't have the special for Fire Blast really, but it's a nasty little surprise against some Grass types.

OK. That's the squad. I like to believe they work well together, but I'm sure there are massive holes in this team. If anyone wants to comment, thanks are in order. For everyone else, I hope you get a kick out of reading an original RBY team again. Thanks for reading.

If you stick with D-Edge on Tauros, you might need to keep Rest on him. If you go with Body Slam, you could either put on Blizzard or Fire Blast, or Hyper Beam for another physical attack. And from the looks of the team, you might have a little Ground problem, with Blastoise and maybe Hypno able to take them out easily. So maybe go with Blizzard and Body Slam on Tauros to get rid of them.

I guess that Marowak is fine. I'd rather go with Sandslash with Earthquake, Swords Dance, Slash, Body Slam/Rock Slide; but meeh, it's your choice.

I mean, goldfish lamp wallpaper skeleton in my Bavarian Star or what? Flowers mirror computer Smurfs every time Moses flies playing cards in or around Paris.

OK, a new Tauros set is in order...

Tauros
-Body Slam
-Horn Drill
-Blizzard
-Earthquake

With this set, I'll get the STAB bonus on Body Slam, and it's paralysis chance. With the speed drop, Horn Drill becomes viable. EQ is fairly obvious, while Blizzard can cover my possible Ground problem.

As far as Marowak goes, let me say this: I like Sandslash as much as the next guy. I actually usually do use a Sandslash. When I put this squad together, I kinda felt like I was using the "2nd best" of certain types. I'm surprised at myself for not including Victreebel, Dugtrio, Dodrio, Electabuzz, or Kingler. Hmmmm, maybe another team in the making here?

Finally, anyone think I should switch in a Lapras for that Blastoise? Lapras would be as follows:

Lapras
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Body Slam and Confuse Ray
OR
-Rest and Sing

I don't really like Horn Drilling Tauros so I would replace it for Hyper Beam, Swift or Substitude.

And for Lapras: why Sing? It has bad accuracy, take something like this:

Lapras
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Confuse Ray
-Rest
It works great [Smile]

And for Marowak, I assume you don't do Tradeback clause, because if you don't, give him Swords Dance instead of Focus Energy. If you do, drop Rock Slide voor Body Slam.

You said this team is lacking an Electric, why not replace Seismic Toss for Thunderbolt (Gengar)?

Hypno, Clefable and Blastoise are fine.

Nothing.
