I got hooked on this game after I won Surf for my almost 4-way max stat Pikachu (its defence is the only low one) on stadium.

Anyways, what all of yours best scores? Mine's 6780. I eventually wanna get at least 7000 ^_^.

If anyone has got a higher score than mine, what are the tricks you usually do? I usually go for the back-to-front flip which gives 180 and the triple flip when I've got enough speed on a reasonable wave.

Also, does anyone else think there might be a way you could teach Pikachu Fly and have a flying mini-game? I dunno, the animation with Pika in balloons at the start of yellow hints it and in TCG for gameboy, one of the cpu girls has Flying Pikachu cards ...

Well, here's what I found.

I sharked Fly so that the first pokemon in my set in Stadium would have it. When Pikachu had it, the game didn't highlight it in purple and brand me a cheater, but it did for Mewtwo, Butterfree, and Chansey.

Just to make sure it wasn't Pikachu, I put in the same code, with Bonemerang instead, which I know Pikachu will never learn in a million years. Sure enough, I got purple text for Bonemerang.

The fact that Stadium didn't care about my Pikachu having Fly could be an indication that it's actually LEGAL for Pikachu to have Fly. It didn't sprout any balloons or anything, however, it just did the Thundershock motion and flew up as it raised its arms. Pikachu can use Fly if you Mimic it off of a Pokemon that has Fly, though. But the same could be held true for Bonemerang, but Pikachu wouldn't last long against any Cubone or Marowak...

Weird.

In Stadium, Pikachu doesn't even fly, he just stands in midair, like any other Pokemon that isn't supposed to learn Fly would do.

Middleton's hypothesis is probably correct. Though I doubt they'll ever make Pikachu fly..

Charger082: Woah, over 7000? What kind of tricks did you do? I try to do the triples whenever I can but its tricky because sometimes you're just not going fast enough. Any tips?

mlmiddleton: bah, what's the fun of that? =p Might as well shark yourself a 5-way-max L100 Mewtwo with Pyschic, Amnesia, Sub and recover and fight easy CPU hitmonchans in free battle ... (with worst special =))

and now my theory about flying pikachu is that in a future game they may let you have a way to teach Pikachu fly (if it isnt already super secretly hidden in the exisiting games =)).

Anyone ever play balloon kid on gameboy? That would be cool if there was a flying pikachu minigame like that.
