I've been considering a Dragonite for a long time now. It's superb attack looks good, not to mention it has many good moves it can learn. The only problem is it falls to a very common move... Ice Beam. I am debating on creating a Dragonite with T-wave or Agility and some good physical moves. Does anyone have good Dragonite ideas?

I wouldn't use him at all due to the quad-weakness, but I suppose the following moveset wouldn't be too bad.

Agility/Thunder Wave, Horn Drill, Wrap, Thunderbolt/Blizzard/Surf.

Make yourself faster with either Twave or Agility, then use Horn Drill and Wrap. The special-based move is your finisher, and can be used to take some guys out near the end of the battle.

If you see a lot of Rock Pokemon, Surf might actually be a good choice for this guy, IIRC Blizzard from Dragonite won't kill a Rhydon in one hit.

I use a dragonite as a cleaner. He goes round cleaning up the mess that my other Pokemon couldn't finish off. It's great to use him if the pokemon you send him out against is already paralyzed.
He has:
Body slam
Surf
Thunder bolt
Blizzard

Yea but once G/S come out and ice is as useless as bug he's gonna rock the game like he did before people realized the power of freeze.

I trained a Dragonite, and it is a superb choice. After looking around though, you'll find that the ONLY Ice-type in the game that is not also part Water/Flying is Jynx. Therefore, I gave my Dragonite Thunder to take care of those annoying Ice attacks. My Dragonite's attack line-up is as follows:

Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Thunder, Surf

I prefer making use out of what Dragonite can defend against: Fire and Grass.
So I've added Blizzard and Surf on my Dragonite on top of its two attack moves: BodySlam and Wrap (its just for being annoying)

I dont try to deal with Water or Ice at all. An IceBeam from a Psyduck is enough to seriously hurt a Dragonite.

Ice will still be in the game, I'm certain of that, just not Ice Pokemon.

I mean, now that Flying's gotten a bit better, as well as Ground...

also if I remember correctly there are also going to be dragon type moves other than Dragon Rage so that will also be a burden to dragonite

How is Flying better? It's not in terms of vulnerabilities (only difference is NVE against Steel). Do Flying types tend to have a high Special Defense or something?

(Edited because I accidentally asked how Ice was better the first time...)

IMHO, Dragonite is too all-out offensive. But that's me, if you like offensive then he's great.
