I'll keep this short, the battle was today when a friend of my little brothers came over with his team to trade with my little bro.

I challenged him
My team was

Vaporeon:
Aurora Beam
Quick Attack
Bite
Surf

Raichu:
Thunderwave
Rain Dance
Surf
Thunder
@Mystic Water

Blissey:
Molly Nut w/Leftovers

Scizor:
Who cares, didn't use it

Houndoom:
Standard 'Doom

Death Starmie

Round 1:
Starmie vs. Tyranitar

I start with Surf, but he switches to Nidoking, down 4/5 HP.
He switches back to Tyranitar, 4/5 HP
He EQ's 3/5 me
I Surf KO'd

Round 2:
Starmie vs. Venusaur
I laughed right away because it's moves were Giga Drain, Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, Solarbeam.
Anyway,
I TW, Hits,
He RL's, 4/5 HP
I Confuse Ray, Hit
He RL's KO

Round 3:
Houndoom vs. Venusaur

He tried to coerse me into using Sunny Day. I
Flamethrow his Venu's butt and OHKO him

Round 4:
Houndoom vs. Scizor:
One Flamethrower and it's all she wrote

Round 5:
Houndoom vs. Ferligator
I Sunny Day before he Hydro Pumps I'm down to 4/5 HP, lucky me.
I Solar Beam 3/5 HP for him.
He Surfs and KO's me

Round 6:
Vaporeon vs. Ferligator
Quick Attack about 4 times and I finally KO him, but not before he Dynamic Punches me and Confuses me to death.

Final Round:
Raichu vs. Nidoking/Golem
One Rain Dance and 2 Surfs and both are gone. I've won with 3 pokemon to spare.

Thanks for reading, I get to battle him again next week at a tourney my little bro and I are holding.

First Prize: Celebi
Second Prize: Shiny Pokemon of your choice
Third Prize: ???

All get a Master Ball for playing

o_O; I think your numbers are off. If you surf on the switch to Nidoking, I think it would do more damage than 20%. This seems like a big error, maybe I'm just reading it wrong.

Sorry if that's confusing. I meant it to read that Nidoking was down to 4/5ths of his HP, which is about 80%

Which still means that the Surf only did 20% to Nidoking.
I'm not that well equipped at the Metallics but I know that isn't right.

You miss-read it; AGAIN.

It took Nidoking down 4/5 of his 5/5 HP. I.e. It dealt 80% damage, or thereabouts.

Yeah, that's what I figured Fractyl meant the first time. However, he/she said the exact opposite thing in the second post ("down to 4/5ths his HP")...
