Ok, this is my first post (gets out flame-proof suit):

I have a Smeargle with Spore, Mean Look, Lock-on, Horn Drill. It works against trainers in Viridian Trainer House, but I have yet to test it against a real opponent (they all heard of it and automatically declare a no Smeargle clause )

Especially if I decided to play with no OHKO clause, should Smeargle look more like:

Smeargle (Brightpowder/Leftovers)
Super Fang
Seismic Toss/Night Shade
Recover
Heal Bell (?)

I have yet to get a Heal Beller, mainly cause my opponents are the type who opt for a full offensive with legendary pokemon.

[EDIT: Typo in Subject]

Spore
Agility
Baton Pass
Destiny Bond

This guy Spores, uses agility, And baton Passes to Somebody Else, or if they switch pokemon, he takes it out with destiny bond.

In my opinion, Smeargle is WAY too fragile to be your only heal beller. Try a more reliable option like Blissey or Miltank if you can fit them in somewhere. Also, I would go with seismic toss over night shade, as normals are MUCH more common than ghosts.

Linux is right, Smeargle just has no staying power to be your heal-beller, use the sets that the different people have reccomended, including myself.

That is so dumb, making a clause to ban Smeargle, they are ONLY doing it because they fear what he could do to you. That is so FUBAR, I mean, comeon, there are only 1 or 2 clauses that are even semi-justified:

*OHKO Ban
*Cheese Trio Ban

And, the OHKO thing, well, that really shouldn't be banned, but, I can see why some feel it should.

Anyway, if anyone says, ohhh ohh Smeargle, can't use em, you just say, oh you're only banning him because he can beat you. That's like saying that Machamp is banned because all I have on my team is Dark Types and that would give you an unfair advantage.

Anyone who tells you Smeargle is cheap is mistaken. Now, I know that Smeargle (under the right conditions) can kick major serious ass, but, he is very very frail, meaning that almost any other good moveset can take him out, or atleast cause major damage to him.

Mu said it best...

"People use clauses to cover everything their playing ability can't." -Mu

I saw something along the lines of:

Spore, Agility, Baton Pass, Belly Drum @ Leftovers....

It can be a bitch if you're not prepared for it. Not too sure. I never am.

No Smeargle clauses suck snorlax ass.
that is so lame, that they use legondarys and dont let you use smeargle.

what you shold do is chanlenge one of tem to a 1 on 1 match. and tell them they can use any pokemn w/ any moves and you'll use a ghasty/koffing @ lvl 5. they'll laugh at you so you say, "Ok, if i can KO your poke, then you have to take off the smeargle ban". if they dont agree their lame ass bitches. if they do, u send out your ghastly/koffind@quick claw w/ destany bond. u go 1st b/c of quick claw, u use DB, they use fire blast or w/e lame move and they lose.

hehe.

The problem is, psykloak1, that Quick Claw rarely works (It has around 12% chance of working if I remember correctly).

So, it's more likely for the events to go along these lines...:

YOUR OPPONENT sent out A LEVEL 100 POKéMON!
YOU sent out KOFFING L:5!
A LEVEL 100 POKéMON used A STRONG MOVE!
KOFFING fainted!
YOUR OPPONENT danced VICTORY SAMBA

And the Smeargle ban still exists.

23.4% chance, actually.

~Spore
~Spider Web
~Super Fang
~Seismic Toss
*Leftovers*

Pass Foresight along, because Ghosts beat this set into submission.

Hmmmmm, there is that DESTINY BOND clause which makes destiny bond fail if your last pokemon is the one using it. Maybe if it was a 2 on 1 match. He, a level 5 weedle and a wobbuffet against, oh, mewtwo.

I say...

Amnesia, Barrier/Acid Armor, Agility, Baton Pass @Leftovers

Just bring him out to BP, nothing else. When you send Agility and the Defenders to Octillery it's absolutely delicious.

What makes you think he'll survive long enough to pass all of that?

Easy. Agilitize. Match it against someone who's move is predictable. Use the best Defense, then again, go to the different Genre Move, BP.

I faced some yesterday with this moveset on his smeargle:

@leftovers
agility
spore
bellydrum
baton pass

He would have beat me if he didn't switch to a pokemon that only had earthquake as its physical attack. My dragonite came in and ko'd three... But you use the attacks in that order. ... After the first agility you got the guaranteed sleep, and then belly drum... I didn't think to bring in a psudo hazer after the agility and spore... If you don't you are quite screwed... But baton pass to anything that has strong physciall attack power and can hit both ground and flying and you are set! I wish i could remember the kids name I'd give him full credit for it.

MEWTWO @Letfovers
ShadowBall
Toxic
Recover
Barrier (or anything else!)

If Wobbly starts, use Toxic (which will go before he can Safeguard). If Weedle starts, use Shadow Ball. Once Wobbly is Toxiced, waste PP with barrier until he faints. If Weedle appears, use Shadow Ball.
