Fire/Ground (ie.Magcargo) = secksee 8D

The most unbalancing type combination that deserves to be relegated to either Sunkern like stats or never be made is the dreaded Ghost/Dark. No weaknesses, and immunities to three types. A Flying/Ghost would be the ultimate black hole for Fighting/Normal/Ground types, and would almost completely rape the normal type, which would have to start packing Rock Slide to counter it.

Isn't ghost the only type that isn't paired with flying?

Ghost and Fighting are the only types not paired with Flying.

I've used to think that Grass/Water would be the best. It will never be made because it has no weaknesses, and is resistant to quite a few popular attacks.

Wait, I take that back, it would be weak to Flying and Bug due to the grass, but, I still would like to have it.

I like water/dragon although it has no immunities.

Magcargo is fire/rock, not fire/ground.

Dark/ghost is weak to fighting if foresight is used first.

Water/Grass would probably have the ability to use Ice attacks, as most Water Pokemon can.

Steel/Ghost also is a pretty good type combo, but it isn't too realistic, even for a Pokemon. Dark/Poison might be nice too. I'm surprised there aren't more varieties of Bug Pokemon. Maybe they should make a Tropical zone loaded with Bug, Grass, and Flying Pokes.

A Ghost/Normal has no weaknesses either. And it has immunity to 3 types (Fighting, Normal, Ghost).

Dark, you idiot. -_-

"Dark, you idiot. -_-"

Ghost and NORMAL would have the 3 immunites too!

The immunities are fighting, ghost, and normal (unless Foresight has been used)

Why?

Let's see (Sarcasm)

Can Fighting hit a Ghost type? No!
Is the above type part Ghost? Yes, it is Normal and Ghost.

Can Ghost hit a Normal type? No!
Is the above type part Normal? Yes, it is Normal and Ghost.

Can Normal hit a Ghost type? No!
Is the above type part Ghost? Yes, it is Normal and Ghost.

sl was talking about the "no weaknesses" part, not the immunities part.

Umm... I was talking about RBY. (once again, I succeeded in making a fool of myself)

Even in RBY, there would still be at least one weakness - BUG

Now that is funny....people usually forget about bug attacks...

good against grass, dark and psychic.

With the return of grasses, natural popularity of psychics and darks, it is such a shame there is only one good bug attack, megahorn.

HOWEVER

Disregard last piece of info, I see fury cutter as even better. It is really the potentiallity of it, possibly doing untold amounts of damage. One of the wonderful moves like rollout, horn drill and fissure!!

Bug? In RBY? Sorry to burst your bubble, but Bug really sux0rz in RBY. There are only a few pokes that learn Bug attacks. The only reason to have a bug move would be the M2 killer, Parasect.

I'd say that water/ground would be best of the types already in existence

Posted by ThumbsOfSteel (Member # 1922) on 09-22-2001, 08:17 AM:

How is that better than water/dragon? Kingdra has no 4x weakness, and the ONLY weakness is to a rarely used type.

Posted by MK (Member # 1445) on 09-22-2001, 11:29 PM:

Water/Ground is very nice (Wooper/Quasire)

But, you gotta watch out for dem solar beams via Sunny Day move sets.

Kingdra does rock, only weakness being Dragon, which, as said, is unpopular.

And it doesen't even become useful until then. Even with STAB, its only useful after 3 turns, so I doubt its going to be used. And how can Porygon2 become a pure any type, except Normal?

Ignore the above statement, I noticed how Porygon & Porygon2 learn Conversion. But so does Smeargle. (btw, a Ghost-type Smeargle would work rather well against 'Champs)

Don't forget P1... and Smeargle (I think)

Smeargle is just obvious, do I really need to mention it? Think about it..

and P2 is the evolved version of P1, so in essence they are from the same species class. Unless its like Scyther/Scizor or Poliwrath/Politoed, or something of the sort, mentioning something for a lower evolution isnt necessary.

Ghosts are strong vs Bug.

I've always liked the idea of a steel/dragon type. It'd be resistant or immune to 12 types. It's only weaknesses would be to ground and fighting, but that's nothing a good Exeggutor can't handle.
