Hello people I am a new member. I am a big stat fan. In the past I used the Max stat/genetic game shark codes where you had to box them after you used it. I wanted to know if anyone had these codes for Ruby and Saphire? I actually am trying to find the max possible stats of each pokemon in Pokemon Ruby. I want to find out for myself like i did before for Red, Blue, Yellow, gold, and Silver. So if anyone knows the code to make sure the pokemon have max DV values id love to hear it!

You might want to post this one in Sakaki Tower instead of the Research Lab.

Wow, a real life big stat fan!
Also, you want to find it out yourself, yet you want to use gameshark codes? What? It'd save you alot of tediously entering in 40 line codes to just go and find a guide on gamefags or something (appropiate typo alert).
Because, seriously, they're like 40 lines of gameshark codes. and GBA gameshark codes are longer than your good old GBC gameshark codes. Now, do that for however many Pokemon you wish and, you wasted alot of time to cheat a sense of achievement of finding out the stats yourself.

actually they are not THAT long anymore - but youre right the first working cheats were like that ^^

I'd really like the codes if anyone has them please. I have other reasons such as never being able to catch a max stat pokemon knowing that it is very rare. IF anyone has the codes or knows a place where I can find them i'd appreciate it.

those codes are not the right codes. I am talking about codes where you box your pokemon and you get their max possible stats. I don't mean getting artificial stats where you get 999 then box them and it goes away or gain a level and it goes away. Two people at this website for Max Stats which one of them was Cfalcon had them. These are rare codes. Those people aren't into ruby or saphire so I need someone else that has these codes. Gamefaqs surely does not have these codes lol.

lol - oh well the codes you see posted here ARE from gamefaqs (loadingNOW's faq) - and actually the faq was made by myself ^^ you should not jump to early conclusions before even visiting a site
Posted by TIDUSBLITZABESX (Member # 3390) on 05-30-2003, 04:07 PM:
Thanks Dark I believe those are the max Genes codes? right?
Then there is the Max stat codes too?
like for example Mewtwos Max Possible Special attack is at 406.
So are their codes for max stats like:
Max Spc atk
Max Spc Def.
as I remmeber for Red and Blue the Max Genetics codes were
then it was:
long examples but I couldn't explain it the way I meant. So there are the Max Genetics and Max stats. Those codes you gave me were those just the Max Genetics?

Sorry Pika no offense to you RPGamer people tell me bad stories about Gamefaqs and the last versions of Pokemon such as Silver, Gold and Crystal never had the max possible stats. They just had those artificial stats that were not Permanant. They would go away when you boxed your pokemon or if you gained a level. Besides it wasn't pokemons actual max stats. You know that no pokemon could ever get 999 stats realistically. Each Pokemon has their own personal stats like snorlax can hit 500 HP. Maybe your a stat person and Know what I am talking about but some people don't and it is hard to explain to those people who think they know what I am saying. I am talking about Max possible DV values that go with the rules in the game lol. If your a stat person sorry about that.
Posted by pika (Member # 1908) on 05-30-2003, 04:37 PM:
hmm you want max effort values too... they are a little hard to make :/ since data all is encrypted exept for the lame current stats which obviosly have only the 999max.
But since you want to edit about everything i'd suggest you get the java plugin from java.sun.com install it and then use my code generator @ http://www.neo-dragon.de/pokeguide/poked/
There you can edit EffortValues and IVs along with exeprince species etc - and the poke your modding is the first in box one. But - codes get quite ermmm LONG.

I went to that site you gave me it is in foreign language of some sort. I can't download anything or make any chances to my father's computer. It is having some problems and so on, so I can't download anything new from Java. I saw your GameFaq codes though they are not the max DV value codes they are what is known as the artificial type. THey type I hope to ifnd are the ones Cfalcon and this other guy put which Golem Kong got hold of and Golem Kong's Website is
That is my example that is onlly for R,Y,B versions.
The kind of stats I am talking about is what you could get if you caught a rare pokemon containing high dv values on their own without the use of game shark. This type of Game Shark code makes it common to have this high DV value pokemon. If Zap Cannon from RPGamer is here can you help me explain?
That is the kind of codes I need. They are rare and aren't posted on Gameshark.com, Gamesages.com or GameFaqs.com. I think you understood this time Pika but I can't download anything to get there. You could once get them here it is too bad those two people didn't get into Ruby and Saphire
Posted by pika (Member # 1908) on 05-31-2003, 11:41 AM:
Really, i KNOW EXACTLY what your talking about.
Now some little screenshots ^^ (i marked the imortant things
Note: IV is just an other therm for DV, and so is "gene". Effort Value = EV = Stat Experience. If that's not enough for your needs you won't find any more of these codes in rs. Also the java plugin you need to dl for screenshot 2 is made by a respected company - in any case it wont harm the pc in any way.

Sorry Pika sometimes people think they know what your saying but it is hard to explain. Thanks for the info! much appreciated
Posted by TIDUSBLITZABESX (Member # 3390) on 05-31-2003, 04:11 PM:
I guess you can't edit posts here. Pika I can't see the whole thing on the boards here. Those 00000 stuff are those the actual codes or is that for people to figure out how to put together? Kinda confused on that part..
Posted by pika (Member # 1908) on 05-31-2003, 04:22 PM:
errr no the 2nd screenshot is a screenshot from the java calculator thing - press calculate and it'll come up with the codes - wich will looks like this:
(female max stat shiny bulbasaur - in box one slot one)
Duh yes it's long
Posted by TIDUSBLITZABESX (Member # 3390) on 06-01-2003, 10:22 AM:
Wow no way all that just for one pokemon? Wait Bulbasaur can't even get into Ruby and Saphire or was that just an example?
Posted by pika (Member # 1908) on 06-01-2003, 10:40 AM:
sure - that was an example merely to point out what is possible - but you have to know what you're doing *keke*
but hell it IS complicated and if you want max stats it would be more efficient to hack the rom.

I have been trying to breed max stats still have not had the best slakoff yet. I have been getting egg babies that are weaker their their parents in attack power. I checked the base stats with rare candies up to level 50 and the best attack power allowing it to only evolve to vigoroff reached max both male and female 107 for base attack. Sharking it is much quicker than doing it manually. As far as understanding your code thing I know a little about DV values but I am not real good with it. I also sorda understand the hexi decimals for game shark but as far as knowing how they work and that I still haven't really figured it out other than following patterns. Just knowing "0" being the lowest and "F" being the highest.

well you wont figure out the gsa encryprion i guess:
so here's the raw version of that upper code (however this will NOT work on gsa)
020300A4:00000000 -- Natureid =0, Female
020300A8:00000000 -- ID of the poke & Shiny
020300C0:7AEC43FB -- Checksum, this makes the bad egg thing XD
020300C4:00000001 -- Bulbasaur with no item
020300C8:FFFFFFFF -- Experience YAY much experience
020300CC:00000000 --Happyness and other crap
020300D0:00000002 -- Moves
020300D4:00000000 -- More moves
020300D8:00000000 -- PP
020300DC:FFFFFFFF -- Effort Values
020300E0:FFFFFFFF -- Effort Values / Contest values
020300E4:00000000 -- More crap (stars)
020300E8:01000300 -- Level and Place caught
020300EC:3FFFFFFF -- IVs (max) (remember eacht dv is 5 bits now)
020300F0:00000000 -- Ribbons (crap)

These are codes I am not use to. I don't know if these are the type of codes that you box your pokemon and they have max dv values even when you no longer use the game shark.
Thanks Pika for writing all that down much appreciated. A pain I am sure that was. I forget what gameshark version I have so I couldn't tell you.
Do these codes work for all pokemon or just specific pokemon? What is the difference if you have Max personality or not? Does that play a factor in Pokemon Stats? Besides Ev what about Max Dv values?
Posted by pika (Member # 1908) on 06-03-2003, 05:09 PM:
They will work for all pokemon sa long as the Checksum is correct.
020300C4:00000004 -- Would give you Charmander
There are 25 Personalities - 5 not affecting stats. All others multiply one by 1.1 and one by 0.9.
Posted by TIDUSBLITZABESX (Member # 3390) on 06-03-2003, 09:10 PM:
Do I have to plug in the pokemon I want ? Do I have to use Pikachu and Bulbasaur? I just want to catch my own pokemon and stat it up to see their max stats. I guess what I am asking is do you have to plug in all the codes or can you use just some of them?

Much respect to who ever made this calcuator, I just have a few questions on how to use it to its full potential.
1.How do I change the trainer id?
2.How do we change the item the pokemon holds? And how do I know what item its gonna have if any?
3.How do you change from male to female?
4.How do you change there personalitys?
5.How do you change place lvl and place caught and what is the default?
6. Can you change the type of ball they are caught in? And how do you change it?
Thanx for taking a look at my random questions, I would really appreciate it if they could be answered. Thanx again.
Posted by ruzzell91 (Member # 3399) on 06-08-2003, 03:22 AM:
Also ive notice the pokemon you create keep the nickname or the pokemon you copyed over, what are the other things that the new pokemon retains from the old one, if any? thanx
Posted by pika (Member # 1908) on 06-08-2003, 06:00 AM:
Only the nickname is kept - and that is because otherwise you'd have to enter 3 more lines.
1. Just enter a different rainer ID ? The lower Word is the visible TrainerID
2. To change the item enter the itemid to the upper 2 bytes in the Species Item field.
3. Male: Make the last byte of map FF (as high as possible) Female: 00
4. Map / 25 -> see what remains (0-24) that results in the personality.
5. Duh try it out
6. You can - either that Happiness Field or the place caught try out.
Posted by ruzzell91 (Member # 3399) on 06-08-2003, 10:57 PM:
thanx 4 that, im still not completely sure about the personality, is it the third byte in the MAP that you need to change? and is it jst 1-25 where if i wanted personality 25 i would enter 18 (cos 25 is 18 in hex). thanx
Posted by ruzzell91 (Member # 3399) on 06-09-2003, 12:13 AM:
also alot of the time, mostly when i change the MAP and trainer id boxes i end up getting bad eggs, why is this? and what are they? thanx
Posted by ruzzell91 (Member # 3399) on 06-09-2003, 08:39 PM:
ive been doing some research on the calculator, this is what ive come up with
in this test i altered only the map value and the trainer id value ( the trainer id should not affect the result though)for a Zangoose
050807FF = 0508 for shiny, 07 cos i thought id get a impish personality and FF for male
000002F7 = trainer id of 00759 with is the trainer id for my game, this worked fine.
shiny = yes
male = yes
personlaity = modest? i thought this was wierd as i was trying for impish but 07 could be the modest personality, i was really only looking for a change so it sorts worked.
now the really wierd thing i observed was that i had some how changed the place where this poke had been caught?? i hadnt touched the lvl/place box and yet i have changed the place caught from lavaridge to littleroot? by only changing one byte in the MAP box.
so does the third byte in MAP alter place and personality? yes from what ive found, so i went on to alter the lvl/place box to see what happened.
i decided to alter the first byte as i was sure this would either change the type of ball or the place caught (or at least change something)
outcome = no change, there was no change compared to if i had entered 01000300, they are identical (at least on the outside)
so help, comments, suggestions please. im off to test more things now laters.

THis part isn't done by gameshark this is a stat calculator that gives you IVs and EVs.

I could use this info, I just bought an AR... I don't want to edit my Pokémon's DVs/IVs/genes, I just want to find a code that will give them "max stat experience"... (basically what you get from doing 2000 battles, not regular exp, stat exp, the stuff vitamins give you, etc...)
Can anyone hook me up with such a code to give max stat exp?
[edit: aka effort]

Considering you can get the legal maximum in a half-hour with a little help from the Macho Brace...
MK, what version are you playing?
Posted by MK (Member # 1445) on 03-19-2004, 04:30 PM:
I'm playing Pokémon Ruby...
I do have a Pokémon that has the PokéRus so I can use that, plus I can go buy the 10 vitamins for each stat, but I've never heard of the "Macho Brace"
Please tell me more...
I did NOT realize you could max out effort in just 30 mins, I thought it took like 5 hours!!!
Posted by Donald (Member # 1551) on 03-19-2004, 05:15 PM:
The Macho Brace is the item you get from beating all four of the Winstrate family members on Route 111. When a Pokemon holds it, their speed is cut in half... but it doubles EV gain. Pair it with Pokerus and it's 4x gain.
You can get max effort by getting the vitamins for the stat you want to raise, drug the Pokemon up, and then fill in the blanks as normal.
HP: Marills on Route 117 (99.5% Encounter rate in the water, 2 EVs)
Attack: Route 114 - Nuzleaf or Meteor Falls - Solrock (2 Attack EVs)
Defense: Petalburg Woods (Silcoon/Cascoon, 2 Defense EVs) or underwater (Clamperl, 1 EV but higher relative encounter rate)
Speed: Route 118: 99% of the Pokemon give Speed EVs (Linoone/Manectric 2, Zigzagoon, Wingull, Electrike 1)
Special Attack: Route 113, Spinda (1 EV, high encounter rate) or Route 112, Numel (same)
Special Defense: Surf anywhere and beat on Tentacool (1 EV) or fish for Tentacruel (2 EVs) in the Abandoned Ship
