I have info on the move Blizzard and its chances of Freezing.

I found this on another site and havd no clue how to test it. The site says "Blizzard's chance of freezing is 30.1%, unless the RAM adress D418 is equal to 0, and then the chance is 10.2%." I don't know if this is for American or Japanese version, but I knew who could find out. If you guys find the correct byte, you could determin what causes Blizzard's Freeze chance change just by watching that value while in battle.

Hope this helps someone.

Yeah, we've known this for awhile, but no one seems to know what triggers the change. I had suspected that it was whether you're in a link or in-game battle. However, I tested it just now in Red/Blue, and found that the value was "0F" (that's "zero eff", not "of") both in and out of a link battle.

Hmm, that conflicts with what you said above. Perhaps a 0 means that it's a 30% chance, and otherwise it's 10%?

*is confused*

The facts are, that it only freezes in 10% of the time, so no point of bringing this up.

Thus the mystery deepens.

I hope your not calling me a retard. I found this info on

http://www.teampa.f2s.com/rbydata.htm

and their info came from the Japanese site of TeamPA before it was shut down. Their info was the best before they left, so I was wondering if they had actually found something useful or if they happened to be mistaken.

Don't even try to call me a retard, because I may not know much, but the only reason for that is because I haven't been here as long as everyone else has and have no clue on how to examine in-game data. A retard is someone who can't learn, I just haven't had enough time to.

You might want to perform a paranoia check there. While you're at it, check who he was quoting. Not you, but the guy who brought the topic up after it had laid dormant for 5 days and contributed absolutely nothing of any use to it.

Thank you, Continue, for showing me the error of my ways.

I would like to say that I am sorry, Mu, for jumping to conclusions about your comment. Please accept my apoligies for my rude behavior. I am sincerely sorry for my actions. I am not myself these days.

Again, please don't hold my comments against me in the future.

Holy shit, an apology!

That deserves a 5-star rating!

Yeah, um, cos I should be aware of Pikapeace's huge reputation....?

The fact is, you didn't add any new info and just bumped a thread which had essentially died. This may not be of grave interest to you, but to I it was annoying and unnecessary.

Next time, try an insult that does.
