Did some fiddling around, while Mist doesn't protect stats against Haze removing them, it doesn't get removed with Haze.
So any tanking moves you do can be undone with Haze, but they can't sneak in a Sand Attack afterwards.

That makes sense; I guess mist only prevents "stat-dropping" abilities, and haze is a "stat-resetting" ability; therefore mist is no protection against haze.

Also, since haze only resets stats, it doesn't effect safeguard, weather conditions, mist, reflect/l.screen, etc etc.

Yeah, you're right it does make sense, but Haze stops the enemy affecting your stats, not just dropping them. Even if they try to raise your stats it will stop it.
