OK, change of plans. There's this big tournament coming up, and I want to win this. We're playing in Colosseum, lvl 100, 6 pkmn in a team, 3 per match.

BUT... no hold-items are allowed.

So... a lot of what is now in my team does not work anymore. My Slaking doesn't seem that cool anymore, and others, like my Smeargle, are completely useless now.

So... what to do now? What would be the ultimate p0wn5or5 team without items? (Only RuSa and Colosseum pokemon allowed) Some, like Kyogre, are still as good as they were with items... but man... no items...

Any help would be appreciated.

Truthfully, I'm still working on my own team, but... if you want my opinion, here it is.

I find Mirror-Coat Milotic works wonders, even sans item (Who needs items when you have Safeguard and Recover?) Salamence seems fairly tough too, but then I'm still raising mine, so the jury's still out on him... Manectric is nice, quick, and never really has a use for a hold item anyway (he's a one or MAYBE two hit wonder either way) And, let's not forget the king of all annoyances.... that's right, Shedinja. And everyone loves Lati@s, even sans Soul Dew (Just play them a little more cautiously)

'S just my opinion though, so don't take it too seriously, OK?

Um ok.

For starters, get a pokemon that can use Spikes well. Skarmory comes to mind.. and Forretress too. Forry is in Colosseum, right? Well anyway, with no Leftovers, thats 1/4 off for every switch. That's huge. Obviously this will suck if used against you, so do one of two things: have a good Rapid Spinner (I like Claydol just because it floats and doesn't take Spikes damage when coming in to get rid of Spikes) or make a majority of your team be flyers and levitaters. The lack of Leftovers also makes other TSS elements a bit more affective, so feel free to throw in some switch forcing moves, Toxic/Will-O-Wisp/Sandstorm/Hail/Leech Seed/etc... and go nuts that way. I'd say that right there is a good basis for a team. Basically TSS style.

I'd also say anything that uses Leftovers is still useable the way they are... afterall, Leftovers are used mostly as a filler item because the pokemon can't make good enough use of Choice Band or a Berry. Slaking is still very useful despite lack of Choice Band. Some of the others like Dodrio or Swellow... not as useful as they are with their chief item, but still alright.

IMO, this team of 3 might do well:

Skarmory: Spikes, Toxic, Roar, Drill Peck/Rest
T-tar: Dragon Dance, Quake, Rock Slide, Taunt
Latias: Calm Mind, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Recover

Those three right there could rape by themselves. Then as back up depending on opponent's pokemon maybe something like:

Quagsire: Yawn, Curse, Earthquake, Ancientpower
Lanturn: Thunderbolt, Confuse Ray, Surf, Ice Beam/Toxic/Filler
Something with Rapid Spin like Starmie/Tentacruel or something...

I like the first 3 together, though, if you can use Lati@s. There's my 2 cents and a bit more. Good luck and keep us posted.

Damn it. I just remembered that T-tar can't get Dragon Dance until Fr/Lg... so um that kinda kills my idea a bit. So I suppose you could try Curse and maybe replace Taunt with something... Taunt still works as anti-pseudo haze... but not anymore for Burn protection and stuff. :/

Maybe just Fire Blast for other Skarms or something... no idea...

Even without Choice Band, a Slaking with Haiper Beem is a real bitch...
