I've been thinking about this, based off of the Colosseum tournament in Japan. The *s indicate what I already have.
*Absol @ Persim Berry (EV: Attack and Speed)
*Double Team
*Swords Dance
*Shadow Ball
*Aerial Ace
Slaking @ Silk Scarf (EV: attack and speed)
Swagger
Hyper Beam
Taunt? Roar? Amnesia?
Slack Off
*Manectric @ Mystic Water (EV: random stuff
)
*[Static]
*Thunder
*Hidden Power (Water)
Rain Dance
Roar?
Tentacruel? (EV: ?)
Screech
Confuse Ray (breed from starmie/lileep/cradily)
Sludge Bomb
Waterfall
One possible strategy I'm thinking is to lead with Absol and Slaking - On the first turn, have Slaking use Swagger on Absol, and Absol use Swords Dance or DT (Slaking should move before Absol, so the DT won't make Slaking miss). The berry will cure Absol's confusion. Then next turn I switch Slaking for Manectric or possibly Tentacruel.
Anyway, I need suggestions for 2 or 3 more pokémon on this team, as well as impressions on the strategy I have so far.

Absol can't learn Shadowball, he/she can learn shadow punch.
1)I would Keep Double Team (held item have an evasive item to help with double team)
2)I would stick with Razor Wind that it learns
3)Swords Dance
4)taunt
Slaking (held item Chesto Berry)
1)Rest
2)Keep Hyper Beam
3)Amnesia
4)Bulk Up
OK this is what I was thinking. If you start off with Absol, have him use double team. Slaking Bulk up. Round 2, Absol Swords Dance, Slaking Amnesia. Round 3 Absol taunt, Slaking Rest. Round 4 Absol Razor Wind, Slaking Hyper Beam.
Or you can go with what you had, just an idea.

status of waffle: roffled (referring to previous post)
Absol/Slaking combo: Looks good, but the filler move on Slaking should be something for Rocks/Steels/Ghosts (EQ, I look at j00). You could also be a prick and give Absol BP over DT, get the attack pumped up, then BP the mess to Slaking and let him kill everything in sight.
Manectric: Crunch should be the filler move.
Tentacruel: If you can get Mirror Coat onto him too (don't see why not, Corsola learns it naturally IIRC), go with Waterfall, Rest, Confuse Ray or Ice Beam, Mirror Coat @ Chesto or Lum Berry. Focus on Special Attack and HP when training it.

Hey Donald, like your answer better. I was focusing mainly on power housing Slaking.

Heh- How about leaving the Absol the way it is, and adding a Medicham with Psych Up and Baton Pass? BTW, my team as of now is
Manectric
Roar (I've found this works well when I lead with it in Battle Tower - but if you have any TMs you'd suggest instead of this...)
HP water
Thunder
Rain Dance
Absol
Swords Dance
Double Team
Shadow Ball
Aerial Ace
Slaking (does choice band reset if you switch out?)
Earthquake
Hyper Beam
Swagger
Slack Off
What I'm considering:
Dusclops
Will-O-Wisp
Confuse Ray
Curse
Mean Look
Tentacruel (should work nicely with the Lightningrod (not Static - oops) Manectric)
Screech (I think it hits both opponents, doesn't it?)
Sludge Bomb (For STAB, and something that'll work with Screech)
Waterfall (Synergy with Rain Dance)
possibly confuse ray, but maybe Mirror Coat?
Medicham
Psych Up
Baton Pass
Brick Break (Focus punch seems too unreliable)
Psychic
EDIT: How does Destiny Bond work in 2V2? Does it target, or is it whoever dealt the finishing blow?

Slaking (does choice band reset if you switch out?)
Yep, so you may prefer Return to allow for switching on the Truant turn to reset the Band (or to heal).
Full rate later.

You do mean surf, correct?
Posted by Twinkle (Member # 1690) on 04-02-2004, 01:37 AM:
Surf's a split attack (both opponents, half power) in Double Battle. Waterfall will do more damage against a single opponent.
