What video games systems are you playing now? What video games are you playing? What is the next video game you will buy?
(sips hot toddy and gently strokes ascot pensively)
I am playing my ps3 and Sega Genesis/Sega CD/Sega Master System
I am playing Warhawk on PS3 and Super Star Dust
Phantasy Star II on my Genesis
Fantasy Zone on my Sega Master System
I was going to play Half Life 2 for the first time but the d2download broke my hard drive (no joke!).
I have been craving playing my WoW twink shaman, but have avoided the temptation thus far. Go me! mostly because I would be forced to buy gold on the interwebs.
edit: here's a link to my Wow character with Turtle Mount and Ogre transformation suit!

WoW is awful sorry
I just bought Team Fortress 2 and I am pretty much in love. This is noteworthy for me because I'm a counter-strike faggot that hated TFC.

you might like warhawk SC. I am playing it all night long. It has a really steep learning curve (seemingly or maybe I just suck) as the Warhawk fighters take lots of practice and since it's online only you practice by getting killed quickly over and over.
I got this mouse (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=100&active_tab=systemRequirements) for my PC a while back. kinda wish that I had Unreal tournament installed. but with all my current console games goin on it's hard to sit in front of the 23 inch computer monitor :/

Currently playing another terrible RPG on the GameCube.
Considered buying Wii Fit and GTAIV, but then didn't.
Still griefing people on various free online games.
Occasionally playing DDR or that old Microsoft game where you commit genocide.
Bought Viewtiful Joe for like 5 bucks and got bored with it in less than 15 minutes.
Wish I had another Katamari game, but not so much that I'm willing to buy another system.
That's about it.

That would be the kind of game that could push me into getting a Wii (and Fit might still do that, depending on the reviews), but I got the wolf game for the PS2 and played it all the way through.
It was quite good, although it dragged a bit in the middle and descended into find-the-biscuit boredom towards the end.
Overall, worth the countless hours I wasted playing it. Decent writing, fun game play, some nice surprises, and a couple mini-games that made me want to punch the developers in the face.
The last truly fantastic console game I've played was the first Paper Mario game. The Hulk game, the Simpsons driving game, and GTA San Andreas were all pretty good, but somewhat flawed.
Ultimately, GTA seems more like a job than a game, so I'm going to try to avoid it in the future.
I haven't had a game consume my life since Counter-Strike (and DDR for a much shorter period of time), so that's good.

I played a wii at a friend's house. I am the only person I know that thinks the thing sucks donkey cock (I had high hopes for it as well). the motion sensing was all clunky and I could only wag my controller for so long before the novelty wore off (about a minute).
I think it's appeal is mainly comparable to Harry Potter. You get a bunch of adults (my sister and brother in law) who have never picked up an "imaginary" (fantasy/science fiction) themed book and they think piss themselves declaring how ground breaking and amazing the underlying story, imagination and appeal is.
so do industry analysts appearing on Google News loving Nintendo.
it's the same thing with wii and video games. The gaming-vigin adults who are drawn to it are actually drawn, I think unknowingly, to video games themselves - and the wii is the most simplistic medium to explore them.
I like harry potter - I think it is entertaining. I am 75% through the last book though and am biting back frustation and eye rolling as I page through the "epic" ending. This "epic" ending seemingly corresponds to a point in time the author decided her work was as ground breaking, important and lofty as the soccer moms that pimp it claimed.
I'm at the same point with the wii in it's creative! hardcore! challenging! implementation of controller wagging :/ [ 05-21-2008, 02:09 PM: Message edited by: 10,000Lb.Snorlax ]

This is the best TF2 video I've seen so far.
I wanted to try it during the free weekend they had a while ago, but I was too busy to get down to it until late Sunday, and the download probably would have lasted until the free period was over.
I did some reading on it when it first came out, and I was bummed to see that my favorite two classes (Pyro and Medic) were nerfed into lamer versions of themselves with limited griefing capacity.
Also I doubt my video card could handle it. I've considered looking into a demo, but I never made it that far. And that Portal game is an awesome idea, but I think the game would drive me up the fucking wall, so it's probably best that I don't even have it in the house.
It's great that the Soldiers can still rocket jump, though. I like that attitude.

I'm with you 10k, I thought the last HP book was a serious let down.
And as for video games, the only thing I really play is battlefield 2 for the PC. I still pick up my old blue version occasionally, but I haven't done so lately.

I picked up a copy of DDR Supernova 2 for ten bucks. I only recently realized that I have both a dance pad that will work with a PS/2 and a PS/2.
The Western disco and pop songs are sort of fun, since I know them, but they are too slow to be enjoyed properly (it's actually a bit fun to step note-for-note on the famous synth part of A-Ha's Take on Me). I never realized how slow regular pop songs (even the ones you think are pretty peppy) are compared to dance music. Well, I guess I did, but not quite in these terms.
Anyway, I mostly just want to get to the "real" dance songs, most of which you have to unlock.
There's a whole system of earning points to buy songs and mods which taps into the usual Find the Biscuit game anality. This is actually kind of fun.
There's also a mode where you have to complete "missions" and defeat "bosses", which is basically just playing songs with different requirements (eg, finish with X% on the meter, get a combo of at least X steps, etc.). You have to play a lot of super easy ones where you won't even break a sweat, but I've played some slightly challenging ones now that are made easier with use of the mods you buy. It adds some strategy to the game, which is actually pretty fun and keeps me playing.
As for the songs, they mostly kind of suck. And in general I've found the Difficult mode to be way too easy and the Expert mode way too hard. Probably going to take me a while to play songs that will really test me without killing me. I guess it took a while to do this on StepMania too, but at least I had 500 songs to choose from, a lot of them really good (relatively speaking).
Kinda cool that some oldies are thrown in there as comfort food.
Anyway, for 10 bucks, it doesn't suck, and it's gotten me off the couch.

My computer died - the hard drive has 170+ bad sectors in the first 29 megs >_<
don't think it would be worth salvaging as it's been 5 years and I'd lose all the data. so I'm gonna have to make a new one. That's a lot of money and effort though so I think I'll just see how long I can live without one at home.
Warhawk is pretty boring now. All I do is try to run the better players over using the Jeeps.
