So was it a hit with the kids?

I remember having Live Aid on the teevee pretty much all day a million years ago. I think I might still have the t-shirt. I should go put it on so I could post wearing a shirt older than some of you guys.

I watched some of the MTV coverage, which wasn't that good. Too much of Linkin Park and that sort.

I hear the other cities fared much better; if my Internet could handle live feeds I'd have watched those...

Somehow I imagine G8 will end halfassedly as always, Geldof and Bono will bitch, their bitching will get lots of press coverage, until the next little girl is kidnapped, and that will be the end of Live 8.

But you never know, I guess.

I turned it on towards the end. Then I remembered how much MTV sucks and utterly lame the VJs are and turned it off.

So, I guess it's safe to say that this isn't a big event in your lives that you're going to look back fondly on in 20 years.

I wonder if this is in part due to the lack of "mega-bands". Probably has more to do with all the additional entertainment options everyone has these days. Or both.

Hmph.
