You know the drill.

There are some things I have questions about (marked in the Dex with "???"), either because I have conflicting sources, or they just don't make sense. These things are:

- Some Pokemon (Venomoth, Bashaamo, Kakureon, Chaaremu) have more than four moves learned at level 1, according to Meowth346. Is this correct?
- Is Ruriri/Azurill really a Normal type? Shouldn't it be Water?
- Does Soonano/Wynaut evolve by happiness or at level 15? (TGhost says the former, Meowth346 says the latter.)
- Does Ursaring really learn Rest, Slash, Snore, and Thrash at the same level as Teddiursa?
- Do Rakurai & Raiboruto have the Lightning Rod trait option, in addition to Static Electricity? Meowth346 says yes, while TGhost and FireBlast/RSbot say no.
- Meowth346 has a list of egg moves for Kekking (DESTINY BOND, FAINT ATTACK, Grudge, PAIN SPLIT, Parting Gift, Sealed) which are different from the ones learned by its lowest evolution, Namakeru (BODY SLAM, Break Claw, CURSE, PURSUIT, SLASH, SLEEP TALK, SNORE). What's up?
- Meowth346 doesn't list any egg moves for Kokodora, but he does list them for the evolved form Kodora. Is this just a mistake, or is Kodora what actually hatches from the eggs?
- Does Danbaru really learn nothing but Take Down and no TMs?
- In GSC, Tyrogue evolved into Hitmonchan if his Attack was greater than his Defense, and into Hitmontop if they were equal. In RS, Meowth346 lists the reverse. Was this changed, or did Meowth346 make a mistake?
- Did I miss labeling any genderless Pokemon as such, or mistakenly give them Attract? The ones I have currently are Magnemite, Magneton, Voltorb, Electrode, Staryu, Starmie, Porygon, Porygon2, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Nukenin, Yajiron, Menduroo, Lunatoon, Solurokku, Danbaru, Metangu, Metagurosu, Rejirokku, Rejiaisu, Rejisuchiru, Kaiooga, Gurandon, Rekkuuza, Jiraachi, and Deokishisu.

On a non-Pokedex matter, Meowth346's description for the Rock Head trait reads "Does not receive recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge and Body Slam". Does this mean that Body Slam now causes recoil damage?

Edit: BTW, I think you spelled "Clamor" wrong. I'm pretty sure it's not "Clamour," or is that how the game spells it?

- Does Soonano/Wynaut evolve by happiness or at level 15? (TGhost says the former, Meowth346 says the latter.)

The criteria for what I put in my rsdex.txt was quite simple - if Meowth said something, and another source said something else, Meowth's data takes precident. At the time, Meowth's Pokedex didn't hav the evolution data, and quite obviously I haven't updated my rsdex.txt to that (nor will I, as White Cat's is clearly superior).

- Do Rakurai & Raiboruto have the Lightning Rod trait option, in addition to Static Electricity? Meowth346 says yes, while TGhost and FireBlast/RSbot say no.

Once again, I'd be going with what Meowth346 said...and also I've caught a Rakurai which had a distinct lack of Static Electricity's effect (but, I can't verify that for sure since I can't speak a lick of Japanese)

Nice to see you go through with the layout idea you e-mailed me so long ago and I failed to do anything with, and definitaley nice to see someone use the TM ordering ideas I had.

Oh, yes, and with the arrival of this obviously superior rsdex.txt, my own efforts will now go un-updated, and instead any focus I would have on that will go into contributing into this rsdex.txt

Sweet. All the Pokémon is nice. [Smile]

You should probably distinguish between Kangaskhan and Metagurosu's Comet Punch attacks, though.

Hmph, someone decided to give one of the new attacks the same Romanized name as one of the original RBY ones. I've changed Clefairy's and Metangu/Metagurosu's entries to "Meteor Punch".

TMK: "Clamour" and "Clamor" are both valid spellings, so I used the one I normally follow. When the English version comes out, I'll use whatever spelling it uses.

I'm not sure about Kakureon, but the others have them because they're evolved forms. As in, Blaziken doesn't learn x move, but Torchic does.

- Is Ruriri/Azurill really a Normal type? Shouldn't it be Water?
Everybody else asked the same thing. Yes, it's confirmed Normal.

What's up?
I'd say it's a screw-up on Meowth's part. Somehow a few PokeDex entries got switched. Or maybe there's something that even I'm missing.

- Does Danbaru really learn nothing but Take Down and no TMs?
Yes. It's similar to Magikarp, except stronger and has a better evolution.

Also: Woohoo! I got props again!

The most likely explanation is that it's just "junk info". Meowth rips most of his info straight from the game with .php and such, so it's probably just something Nintendo forgot to change.

I would wager a guess that "Clamor" is the proper spelling, seeing as this is being marketed mainly in the US.

Us Canadians/Brits/Aussies will just have to live with it, I guess.

Okay, it's done.

I made a small update to the GSC Dex as well, and I discovered that I made some changes to the RBY Dex waaaaay back in May 2001, but never uploaded it.

I've also submitted all three of them to GameFAQs.

Wow, White Cat, you've outdone yourself once again... thank you.

I was wondering, does anyone out that have a list of all the English Attacks and what they do? I know Meowth346 has something "like that" but doesn't have their attack damage and all the info...

But yeah, White Cat, that guide is incredible, I'll probably have to get enough paper together and print it out...

Yes, the Samurai Pizza Cat has once again, showed us why we all love him.

Oh, btw MK, if you really want to save paper, I suggest you copy and paste it into word, and divide it into three columns with the font size set as 4. You can go even further and print on the back. I was able to fit the RBY Dex on about ten sheets, IIRC.

EDIT: And I still can't find an answer for this: What does Clamor do?

The RSdex has a link to Dark Herakurosu's Movedex, which has the Japanese names of the moves. It should be fairly simple to match them up with Meowth346's list of English names, since they're in the same order.

It's not bad. Designed much like their Crystal guide. Maps, big list of items, the Pokédex now include what egg types they are and their special attributes. A very handy resource and, to me, worth it. I like the nice pics of the gym leaders. That Flannery chick looks cute.

Anyway, Nintendo guides tend to be way better IMHO than the crap Brady and Versus serves up. Don't get me wrong, I love your guys' super-accurate online text guides, but booklets make much more handy references.

Which is why I print these "super-accurate online text guides" in size four font, divided into three columns, printed front and back.

Picshures are for people without imagination.

Although I probably shouldn't be saying that to an artist...

No offense taken. I just like visual guides 'cause I'm a visual person. I've got a good imagination, but I'm also someone that like pictures a lot. But you make a good point about printing small. What's the link to your guide with the small fonts?

Nowhere, hopefully.

Well, I did see a few typos in their, so I went through and tried to find as many as I could (kinda like trying to find fault in Nature [Wink] ). Here is my list:

Kabutops has a TM listed as "Beal Slash", instead of "AERIAL ACE"
Murkrow has listed for it's last Level Up move as "MEAN LOOCK", instead of "MEAN LOOK"
Piloswine has a HM listed as "STRENGHT", instead of "STRENGTH"
Mightyena Level42 Move reads "TAUNTnt", instead of "TAUNT"
Linoone Level47 Move reads "RESH", instead of "REST"
Pelipper Level47 Move reads "Release", instead of "SPIT UP"

"IRON DEFENCE" should be spelled "IRON DEFENSE", according to Meowth346

That's all I could find that had to do with misspelling of names of moves. As far as the numbers go, I didn't check anything.

Kabutops has a TM listed as "Beal Slash", instead of "AERIAL ACE"

Heh... this was because I used Wordpad to "Replace All" the Japanese names with their English counterparts, and so ones I misspelled in Japanese never got converted.

Piloswine has a HM listed as "STRENGHT", instead of "STRENGTH"

Thanks. Nidorino had the same mistake.

Mightyena Level42 Move reads "TAUNTnt", instead of "TAUNT"

I had already found that one, but can't figure out the reason for it happening.

Linoone Level47 Move reads "RESH", instead of "REST"

I guess Linoone used PICKUP on a few too many beers. [Smile]

BTW, what kind of name is "Glalie" anyway? How did they come up with it? At least "Glaile" sounds like "gale"...
