...maybe. [Razz]

"The big news in trading card games this month has to be Pokémon-e.
And what is so special about it I hear you ask? Well, it will take you where no other trading card game has gone before - the GameBoy Advance.

You can pass your cards through the GBA's e-Reader accessory and hyperlink to more information about the game, more games, animations, sound effects and even a coin flipper. How clever is that?

The first expansion to Pokémon-e is Expedition, which includes 165 cards with new game mechanics like Supporters and a new Special Condition: Burned, and every booster pack includes a foil!"

Apologies if everyone already knew this, but I thought that it put a bit more fact behind the theory of being able to use old-school Pokes via the e-Reader.

This series of cards is likely to do nothing, I've messed with them... maybe future cards will work in Pokémon Advanced and give us stuff, and, there is a small chance even these will, but, I dunno...

Is it even possible to have an e-reader and a GBA cartridge inserted at the same time anywaY?

The Expedition set is already out and has nothing to do with Ruby or Sapphire. There's already a new set of Pokémon-e cards coming out soon called Aquapopolis, and that won't have anything to do with it, either. Any cards that DO have something to do with Ruby/Sapphire will come out in Japan, first, and I think most of these e-cards have already been there for well over a year.

And you can't have an e-Reader and a Game Pak in the same GBA unless you are some sort of monkey who has eaten another hole in your GBA to accomodate one of the two objects, but even that won't work. HOWEVER, you can link a GBA with e-reader with another GBA, as detailed in the e-reader's instrcution manual. Some games will feature this connection, but it's still unknown if Pokémon will be one of them... does the game's packaging in Japan feature an e-Reader logo?
