hey, does anyone know of any real life pokemon gyms in the US? and by that i mean, i suppose, clubs and the like of other pokemon players who get together and organize a sort of local gym where anyone can come, challenge, and perhaps win a badge for their victory.

i had considered doing something along those lines here in Boston, with the Narco Gym, which would include both my team of slow and lazy pokemon, as well as Cuban B's Grass Gym Experience.

was wondering if anyone had thought about something similar along these lines because, frankly, i don't ever get to challenge people i don't already know. the official tournaments are too few and far between, although i will be attending the summer tournament in NYC.

I know of one. No, of many ones. They're not in the US, though [Razz]

Recently (as a matter of fact, two months ago [Razz]

), we've had a tournament in Brazil called LOPE (Liga Oficial Pokémon Evolution - Pokémon Evolution Official League), where these 8 Gyms would host tournaments of their own at the same time. The winners would challenge the respective Gym Leader's underling, and then, the Leader itself for a badge.

JP Nogueira is the Poison Gym Leader and I'm the Dragon Gym Leader's underling (actually, I had to substitute him for he couldn't participate).

nice. i had heard about your league through other posts on the board, and frankly i'm envious that we don't have something like that here.

ah well. i suppose i'll put together some badges anyway for the summer tournament. i can randomly challenge people there for badges. [Wink]
