Well I'm an old time Pokemon player who's working on his first G/S/C team (sorry, I was a bit busy trying to graduate college when the new games came out). Like a few other Azurians I pick my Pokemon based on Pokemon I actually like a little more than pure power teams so please keep that in mind. Of course any and all suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated.

Sandslash@Softsand/Hard Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Sunny Day
- ?

I'm thinking this: open with Sandslash and chances are an Electric type comes out. Sandslash uses Sunny Day while they switch to a Water/Ice type and then Sandslash switch out. I need some ideas for a fourth move (assuming the other three are okay).

Jolteon@Scope Lens
- Thunderbolt
- Water Power
- Thunder Wave
- Rain Dance

I like the movesets of a Surfing Raichu but my Jolteon has always served me better in battles than any of my Raichus have. With Hidden Power now I can have both...I hope.

- Psychic
- Fire Power
- Sunny Day
- Morning Sun

- Flamethrower
- Wing Attack
- Belly Drum
- Earthquake

I know a lot of folks prefer Rock Slide over Flamethrower but I just can't stand the idea of Charizard without it.

Tauros@King's Rock
- Double-Edge
- Earthquake
- Rock Power
- Body Slam

My big question here is Rock Power. It drops my Attack DV to D and I'm just not sure if it is worth losing 2 DV points for a Rock type move.

My final Pokemon will be one of these two:

- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Swagger
- Haze

- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Swagger
- Thunderbolt

I usually go with Lapras for my Water type (I love her firepower) but since I'm not regularly exposed to other trainers I don't know just how important having a hazer is.

Well that's my first serious attempt at compiling a team. Thank you all for your help.
