The manual of Pokémon Colosseum says Shadow Pokémon get all the EXP Points they obtained once you purify them. But... Does anyone know what happens with their Effort Values? Do they rise too, according to what they fought before purifying them? =/

I would assume they would still gain the EVs along with the Exp Points. I decided to be safe and used the flute on Raikou and Suicune so they wouldn't take any exp and am saving the last for Houou.

Ho-oh isn't one of the Shadow Pokémon, so you can just use the Time Flute on Entei.

Tested. Shadow Pokémon don't gain ANY Effort Points before they're fully purified.

All I did was (1) get a random Shadow Pokémon (preferrably at a high level -- I used Tyranitar for that); (2) find its IVs; (3) have it battle like a madman (I chose Mt.Battle for that); (4) finish purification and receive back the EXP Pts. gained; and (5) find its IVs for each level-up (assuming, of course, that it really levels up [hence "have it battle like a madman"] after regaining EXP Pts. and no Effort Pts. were gained).

If the IVs found throughout the process lacked consistency between each other (or if some or all IVs couldn't be determined), then it'd be safe to say some Effort Pts. were gained during the purification process. But, since it was always possible to determine the Shadow Pokémon's IVs in my testings as if no Effort Pts. were gained, the assumption taken before is made true [Razz]
