New Guy Farting Nudist Member # 692 Member Rated: posted 03-20-2003 01:44 PM                     Beleive it or not, New Guy actually plays pokemon. Just, not with anybody:( Anyway...What's the standard chance for a critical hit? What's the bonus for a Scope Lense (I'm assuming this is in RS)?What's the bonus for a move like Slash? What's the bonus for Focus Energy? In case you're wondering, I want a berzerker Scyther. N-Man Farting Nudist Member # 733 Member Rated: posted 03-20-2003 02:03 PM                        It kind of works like this:There is a 'number' that determines the chance of a critical hit. The higher the number, the more chance you have to strike a critical hit.0 (standard) -> 1 in 16 (6.7%)1 -> 1 in 8 (12.5%)2 -> 1 in 4 (25%)3 -> 1 in 3 (33.3%)4 -> 1 in 2 (50%)You begin at 0, thus making the normal chance 6.7%. Scope Lens increases the number by 1.Focus Energy increases the number by 1.Moves like Slash and Razor Leaf increase the number by 2.For example:I have Meganium with Razor Leaf and Earthquake as its attacks and has a Scope Lens attached.Earthquake doesn't have any special modifiers, but does get +1 to the number thanks to the Scope Lens. The final number would be 1, so Earthquake would have 12.5% chance of being a critical hit.Razor Leaf adds 2 to the number, and another one is added by the Scope Lens. The final number would be 3, so Razor Leaf would have 33.3% of being a critical hit.I hope this makes it clear for you; if you have any more questions, just ask. MK is somewhat large. Member # 1445 Member Rated: posted 03-20-2003 10:36 PM                    The best you can ever get is 50% chance...So a Focus Energy (+1) and a Scope Lens (+1) and used Slash (+2) and, uhhh, hmmm, how else could you boost it? Maybe scrath the Scope Lens... didn't some stuff like Lucky Punch give Chansey a (+2)?well, anyway, point is, no matter how much you use, the most you can get is a 50% chance of a CH each turn...
