When you get some of the gym leaders badges, it says, 'your pokemons attack/defence/speed/special will rise'.

Can someone tell me how much [Embarrassed]

I THINK that it increases them by 9/8ths. The first set of badges you get in GSC does not affect link battles; the second set do.
