Present, a move that has got me interested.

Is it 40, 80 or 120 power, or does it do 40, 80, or 120 HP damage?

Is it worth it?

Nightshade and Seismic Toss, worht it?

Please help me with these questions. Thanks in advance.

It randomly does 40, 80, or 120 base damage, and it also may restore HP to the opponent. The way it calculates damage is bugged:

Four values in the damage formula are changed:
Attacker's Attack -> 10
Defender's Defense -> Attribute Number of attacker's secondary type
Attacker's level -> Attribute Number of defender's secondary type
Type effectiveness -> If defender's primary or secondary type is Rock or Steel, value is 0.25

If attacker's Attack is 0, it becomes 1.

Attribute Numbers depend on the Pokémon's type:
Normal - 0
Fighting - 1
Flying - 2
Poison - 3
Ground - 4
Rock - 5
Bug - 7
Ghost - 8
Steel - 9
Fire - 20
Water - 21
Grass - 22
Electric - 23
Psychic - 24
Ice - 25
Dragon - 26
Dark - 27

Use the Attribute Numbers of the Pokémon's secondary type. For instance, Charizard (Fire/Flying) has a secondary type of Flying. If a Pokémon doesn't have a secondary type, its primary type is used.

This bug has been corrected in Crystal and Pokémon Stadium 2.

The most basic way that Nintendo intended it to do is the following:

40% chance of doing 40 base damage
30% chance of doing 80 base damage
10% chance of doing 120 base damage
20% chance of healing 80 base damage
