Been out of the loop for a while, but just recently got rehooked (go figure, rehashing old games does work)

Anywho, Grass is my favorite type, but since RS is so offense based, is there really any place where they can be effective as attackers and not merely support pokemon?

And of the three grass starters, who's considered the most viable for competition?

C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!

And Sceptile is capable of getting 339 SA, Alakazam's speed (339), and has the Grass equivalent of Slash. Plus Dragon Claw and it can be bred for Crunch.

mmm, death.

With it's 372 speed...damn. That'd be some nasty shit if it could get Frenzy plant. Or does that move suck?

Frenzy Plant is Venusaur's exclusive, but it, to borrow an old adage, "sucks a dick" seeing as all it is is a Grass-typed HAIPAR BAEM~

Well considering the fact that with Substitue, nice speed, and Leech Seed... Sceptile can be a bitch and a half to fight I'd say grass types are still good.

Celebi is similar with that combo.. only like 10 times more annoying since it doesn't die.

Exeggutor has Chlorophyll which boosts speed in sunlight... 383 max special and over 400 speed.. 120 stab attack and Sleep Powder. I'd say that's pretty damn good.

Sporing Breloom with 394 attack and Focus Punch. Whee~

Hee hee, Celebi doesn't die. [Big Grin] Too bad we can't have one. [Frown]

Does Chlorophyll double Speed? I thought it was 1.5x. Fast Exeggutors make me happy in my pants.

It's double. Vileplume can't get the jump on Kyogre otherwise.

Are grass types useless? i dont think so. Some of my best pokemon are grass types. I have a Bellossom thats at level 60 and its really good. I advise that u give it Rare Candies, Protein, and anything else that would boost up its power.
