This could be interesting.

I'm not saying that it will be.

I'm including only the cases that I can remember.

Here is a list for the people with learning disabilities and those that have religious reasons against using search engines.

Marbury v. Madison - Judicial review
McCulloch v. Maryland - Implied powers of the state.
Gibbons v. Odgen - interstate transactions
Dred Scott v. Stanford - Slave are property
Plessy v. Ferguson - separate but equal
Schenck v. United States - War rights (I think)
Korematsu v. United States - Japanese citizen sued for being held during WW2
Brown v. Board of Educ. of Topoka - Segregation
Mapp. v. Ohio - Search Warrant
Engel v. Vitale - Prayer in schools.
Gideon v. Wainwright - Right to an attorney
Miranda v. Arizona - You must be read your rights
Roe v. Wade - Abortion

Fuck Supreme Court cases.

The Scopes Trial was the only trial worth a damn... Supreme Court be damned.

Actually, I did find this poll interesting. I had to go back and look some of these up.

Marbury v. Madison seems like an obvious choice for best or worst, depending on your view, because without it the other ones might not even have happened.

I started seething when I was reading about McCulloch v. Maryland because, well, I'm an anti-big-government Libertarian.
