A while ago, I had a poll. Who planned to buy Ruby, who planned to buy Sapphire, and which starter everyone intended to choose.

Now, I'm curious to see how how things actually turned out.

I have always picked the grass type. In Blue I picked Bulbasaur, in Gold I picked Chikorita, but in Ruby, Treeko just did NOT do it for me... I picked the Torchic =)

In otherwords, Treecko's just too badass for you to handle.

FYI, the first poll had Ruby and Sapphire seperated by only a few votes, and the "winner" changed constantly.

Torchic was the most popular starter, closely followed by Treecko. Nobody wanted Mudkip (Less than four votes, IIRC).

Hmm.. Totally different from the earlier poll.

HUGE gap between Ruby/Sapphire and Torchic/Treecko.

Personally, I think Treecko got shafted... I mean, between Torchic's unique type combo, and Mudkip's useability, a plain old pure Grass type just isn't as interesting.

Yes, but Treecko has useful breed-on attacks and TMs.

A Sceptile with Leaf Blade, Crunch, and Dragon Claw makes for an awesome special sweeper, IMO.
