  • Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 of the textbook.

• Grading: There will be homework, 3 midterms and one final. THERE WILL BE NO MAKE-UP EXAMS OR MIDTERMS. The method to obtain your grade will be the best one (for you) of these two:
  • Homework 10%, the best two Midterms counting for 50% and the Final counting for 40%.
  • Homework 10%, all the Midterms counting for 60% and the Final counting for 30%.

  Grading scale:

  • A: >90%
  • B: 80-90%
  • C: 65-80%
  • D: 50-65%
  • F: <50%

• Homework: (10%)

  - Homework:

  1) The homework for a given week will be posted by Tuesday afternoon and will be collected the next Monday in the lab. 2) The two worse homework assigments will be droped. 3) Late homework will not be accepted (consider those assignments as one of the two you can drop).

• Midterms: (60% or 50%)

  Midterm 1: Monday, Febuary 21 (in lab)

  Midterm 2: Monday, March 28 (in lab)

  Midterm 3: Monday, April 25 (in lab)

• Final: (30% or 40%)

  Final: Wednesday, May 11th, 11-1.30pm
