Remarks: Gibran's wisdom is all encompassing. It is not meant to be taken in a very literal sense, such as a biblical parable. Rather, it is to be carefully considered as applicable to one's own situation.

When I began the section about the silence after Almitra asks of Love, my classroom was as silent as it could ever be-as in absolutely silent.
One of the boys said, when I was finished, "that guy's right." Ancient wisdom in new wine? I am still overwhelmed at their response.
