Remarks: Well, it sure is nice to know that someone appreciates this stuff! I have to hand in a thesis in two weeks about our admired Gibran: it will be about the strong role that love plays in his works. Have you read "Broken Wings?" Read it. It's absolutely beautiful. Gibran clears my head- he has this way of pinpointing what I can't. And at the same time he punches me in the stomach! That's all for now, but it really isn't. Um, it makes sense to me!

I have freely given The Prophet to many and encouraged them to read with an open heart. My putrid feelings of guilt, insanity and confusion have all seem to fade since I found Gibran. I believe very strongly in them, however they sometimes cause discomfort and unhappiness in the short-term, especially when they collide with loved ones and family and friends. I only hop e that in the long-run -- perhaps beyond even my own lifetime -- that maintaining them will be a worthy effort. I'm sure that overall that is probably the case.... but it is whelming to consider that individually, I may not end up with the balance of my efforts. C'est la vie, eh?
