" the "form" should be "from" Verse 9 "But if in you thought you must measure time into..." the "If in you " should be "If in your ". Remarks: Kahlil Gibran was first discovered by myself in the mid-sixties and I have been conscious of him ever since. I may not consider his philosophy my everyday philosophy but at the deeper core of me he seems to ring very true for much of what I find true for myself. I am a christian and therefore much of what might appear true for others is an interesting debate for myself. But despite the theological differences that sometimes occur there is much coherence in the two lifestyles.

Wim lived in Chile and we appeared to know a lot of the same people both coming from Antwerp... We started emailing and Wim really helped me through some rough times with his wise words, good and deep heart, jokes and strong spirit. He send me flowers for my birthday... I sent him a little book of Kahlil to thank him... We meet in NY when I came here for a job interview. I got freightened by his sadness... and attention demanding nature. We lost touch... but today I work here... in New York. And I just heard he passed away. What a waste. It seems so unreal... My heart hopes he will find hapiness there... Remarks: I find myself striving for an ideal that is unattainable. Many think they know but none do. Am I just falsely multifaceted or is there something? Who knows? God Knows. Reading Gibrans work is like engaging in a battle with a swan, yo u marvel at the beauty but still find yourself battling at the meaning. Gibran has given me a spark of life, I love his work and he is everything that is happy. I had to to step away from my circumstances, to peer into the elements that are affecting my current status. We all need to feel comfortable. And that I am kind of discovering, through a ton of blatent realizations that are showing their face to me, that I ne3ver had have allot of control when things that matter are concerned. And you should feel satisfoed once the reckoning is done... To "worry" about matters of consequence is something most hope to being told that they should not worry. i will predict that when we all meet Christ there will be no mouths seen, that is the next step in the evolutionary scale which hopes for acknowledgement; THAT and life expectancy will grow longer. Much longer There are some real fantastic things that have happened to me. I don't profess to have "seen" Lee, I do, however, have felt her touch, in 1994 while living at Providence Square with my brother. And again in my apartment now, I had felt her hand on my kn ee. The first thing was having my hand knocked out from under my chin mysteriously, just like we had a standing joke about doing that to eachother since 7th grade. I can say: "As God as my witness" when I proclaim this has occured to me. In Heaven we have all we need. With Gods help, Dave had achieved; not wanting, lusting, hating, having greed, just heavensent desire... There is a proverb I read last night that says: -.Wisdom is too high for the fool; in the assembly gate he has nothng to say.- Now I hope that as I am at heavens gate, I will be talking allot.

Remarks: Last night I dreamt I was given charge of an unruly child. She was angry, hostile, volatile, belligerent, hurtful to herself and others. I tried to ignore her. She became even more disruptive. I tried to rule her with a stern hand. She fought my fire with fire. Finally, when the situation had reached critical mass, when she was her most abusive and I was on the verge of reprimanding her physically, I stopped. I grasped her firmly. I embraced her fully. I told her I loved her. She did not reply in kind but she did not push me away. I felt her relax in my arms. Suddenly I knew that that embrace, that recognition, that love was all she had ever wanted. Suddenly I knew that child was me, all my hurt, all my sorrow, all my anger .

Remarks: I am working at writing a book about a man who starts a religion, based on a god, a Creator, which I think will be called THEOS. THEOS is outside of time and place, and thus beyond our comprehension. Thus any- thing we try to say about THEOS is purest spceculation, inadequate, and probably wrong,except for two things: 1. We live in the universe that THEOS created; The process of creation, of necessity, includes the possiblity of natural disasters, and has given Mankind a dual nature, a basic instinct necessary for the evolution of man, and an internal THEOS-Spirit, which guides us towards the way of THEOS. 2. THEOS has given humanity the gift of WISDOM, in various times and places throughout the world. This WISDOM enables us to minimize the effects of natural disasters, and to rise above our basic instinct. This WISDOM has been diluted and distorted by humanity, but it has not been destroyed; it is still there to be studied and purified. Now the key question is; "If a man writes a novel about starting the religion of THEOS, and people who read the book start meeting and discussing the Wisdom in it, and begin to participate in the collecting and collating this wisdom, and begin to change their lives as a result, and begin to attract new members by the changes in thier lives, so that in essence their association becomes a religion, then who started the religion; the author, the followers, or THEOS?

Remarks: When I was about 15 or 16 I read Kahlil Gibran's THE BROKEN WINGS. It was a love story based on Kahlil Gibran's own life. I was about a marriage that was arranged. The girl that Gibran loved was forced into a marriage to someone that she did not love due to the custom and tradition of the time. I remember thinking what a great story. Would you believe that when I turned 23 I found myself in the exact same situation. Luckily I was able to overcome many obstacles that eventually I wa s able to get married to the one I love and who loves me in return. I really believe that somehow Kahlil Gibran had a hand in helping me. What happened to him was not going to happen to me and he saw to it. If you have not read BROKEN WINGS what are yo u waiting for? More that a fan I always will be.
