On the next two weeks the Spanish Pokemon Tournament is gonna be held in my city. I´ve been playing pokemon for quite some time now, and i´ve learned a lot in this forum, but i havent played Stadium before. I expect to meet a lot of little kids with starters, birds and mewtwo without defensive moves so its gonna be a piece of cake. Still i wanna win so i dont mind been cheap.
Rules are the same as the british tournament (3 pokes, one status change at a time,..)
For the qualifying rounds you need to beat the game against two teams. I´ll be playing on Supercup. What pokemons will i encounter? The game isnt very clever so i expect to qualify but i have never seen Stadium.

My main team will be:
Gengar: thunderbolt seismic toss hypnosis double team
Mewtwo: psychic, amnesia, recover, substitute
Snorlax: icebeam, double-edge, amnesia, rest

Is double team worthy in Stadium? Hypnosis or Twave? Psychic or tbolt? I may have trouble with gengar against rock/ground pokemon, should i replace tbolt with another special attack? Can anyone give me comments and tips on tournament strategy, please?

The rest of my team may be a swifter mew, tobybro or benedict.

Thanks in advance, Keibu.

Yes it is, its called Pokemon 2000 or something like that. The rules were translated from the english ones, but it didnt say anything about mew or mewtwo. I could use a tobybro or alakazam instead.
Can you give me tips on the championship, like what pokes you gotta fight on the qualifying rounds?
Thanks a lot, Keibu

Keibu, in stadium ...
1 sleep is rubbish
2 confuse and paralizing are good
3 I've been told DT isn't as good in stadium, not as effective and doesn't increase evade as much

Your teams fine exept gengar
Twave
Sesmic Toss
Rest
Tbolt

I'd say but if you have time(or a Game shark) train up a new one with confuse ray over tbolt

(: ryoga!!!
If pokemon really existed ... No.2
TRAINER 1 sends out Pinsir
TRAINER 2 sends out Pickachu
Pinsir used Guilotene
Pickachu was decapitated

Thanks for the help. My main three will be a support electrode, snorlax and slowbro (only if i cant use mewtwo). Since both snorlax and slowbro are slow, electrode is there to paralize pokemon. If snorlax or slowbro get paralize both can rest. Snorlax is there to destroy mewtwo and slowbro against anything else
Suport electrode
Snowlax: bslam, ice beam, amnesia, rest
Slowbro: surf, psychic/tbolt (havent figured out yet) amnesia, rest.
