I found something about Missingno and the other glitches that hasn't been studied yet:
You know that ALL pokemon caught in red,blue or yellow have items when you send them over to gold,silver and crystal. This includes pokemon that evolved from glitches! One pokemon that evolves from a glitch is the double water gun Kangaskhan. I did this once and it was holding a carbos, that item is not held by any normal pokemon when you do this. I know someone here will work on this right away.

You can do it through Stadium 2, though. I sent a few Missingno up through it, and they all turned into Ditto with Carbos equipped. Why Carbos? Why not GS Balls?

Because you need to do the Other Other Box Trick for GS Balls.

NO!! That's not what I meant! I was saying that real non-glitched pokemon like Kangaskhan that are evolved from glitches will hold different items when you trade them to a GSC game using Stadium then ones that are caught normally. And, I did NOT do this using the box trick OR box 13. A perfectly normal Kangaskhan that is caught in RBY will hold a Bitter Berry when traded to GSC.
According to Nintendo's guide, pokemon never have Carbos when you do this.

In fact, it wasn't even cheating! I just went to Cinnabar, caught the "M" Missingno, evolved it, and then traded it fairly over to my gold version.

This could be worth experimenting on...Carbos has a value of 29 (HEX 1D), so I'll see where that number comes into play for Missingno.

Anyway, I haven't yet figured out where a variable value of 1D comes into play during the glitch. Does anyone else care to figure this out?

On a side note, playing on a NO$GMB at 50x speed makes it seem your character is high on crack. You run around incredibly fast, and you can't control a damn thing as far as where you're going! Could this be a subliminal message from the ROM designers?

I don't know if this is helpful but my trainer name on that blue version is NINJA (All caps)
I heard something about names being important when looking for Missingno.

I seem to get better results from finding this glitch before I fight,beat or even SEE the elite four. No hall of fame errors will happen if you do it this way. Both this Blue version and my Green version have a messed up hall of fame. I don't know how I used gameshark to find Missingno on Green without killing the game... Any player that gets both 'M AND Missingno on the same save file is pretty lucky. Especially after the elite four have been beaten. If you evolve the 'M into Kangaskhan it will be so glitch-free that even Stadium 2 will not be able to tell!

Um...that's because the "Open Hall of Fame" trigger hasn't been satisfied in that case...

And even with a glitched Hall of Fame, both Stadiums give you a free pass...

Anyway, battling the E5 has no effect on the Pokemon you run into. Try the Cinnabar Coast Trick before getting to the E5; if you are using the "NINJA" name, you'll run into one of the four I mentioned above. Then, beat the E5 and the available Pokemon won't change! Of course, the "WildPokemonAvailable" variables are more numerous than the "YourName" variables. All this means is that you may run into Pokemon other than those four; those will have more realistic levels. Those Pokemon will be from the last grass/cave area you were in (water areas don't count).

I hope that explained it; I could write several more posts about this, but I have better thing to do.
