There's a lot of semi-useful semi-useless codes that I've found throughout the ages.
Rather than ponder whether they're significant enough to put in organized lists, I now think it would be best to just post them all here and have you guys decide which ones are actually worth noting down. All the codes I'll post here are for Pokemon Yellow, but most of the codes that are applicable to red/blue do also work in red/blue if you do the 1-byte shift thing.
Nostalgia Codes that I felt weren't significant enough to put in my faq:
0100C5D7 buying the magikarp over by mount moon
0100ADD5 eevee in saffron city
0100B2D5 0100B3D5 dome and helix fossils on mt. moon
01006ED7 squirtle from officer jenny
0100EFD7 charmander from the kid up north
01005BD7 0100ABD5 bulbasaur from the lady who takes care of injured pokemon
0100BAD5 01002ED8 Fight Gary at silph co.
01001AD8 0100B5D5 fight Giovanni at Game Corner
010137D8 0100BCD5 fight Giovanni at Silph co.
01002DD7 Lapras from the guy at silph co.
--other codes:--
rival's name modifier 01??49D3 01??4AD3 01??4BD3 01??4CD3 01??4DD3 01??4ED3 01??4FD3 01??50D3 01??51D3 01??52D3 01??53D3 015054D3
01??0FD7 pokemon-in-cinnabar-laboratory modifier (imagine the looks on kids faces when they see the scientist say "It was MEW, I think."
01??14D7 gary's eevolution modifier (use only quantifier digits 01, 02, 03)
01??5DD3 teleport rooms. quantifier digits 76 correspond to the hall of fame. in general you can only use this code _while loading your game_
01??F2CF enemy trainer's pokemon level modifier
01??26D1 enemy level modifier (wild)
oh yeah i think the common enemy level modifier found in plenty of lists just plain doesn't work for red, blue, or yellow.
01??58D0 _instantly_ suck yourself into a random battle with the pokemon of your choice the moment you flip the GS switch on. good to use in combination with the enemy-level-modifier code to instantly fight anything you want. (the opponent is also non-glitched, which isn't always the case with the 01??D7CF code) [ 01-13-2005, 09:20 PM: Message edited by: JDonald ]

01??29D7 Sets whether or not your character is on the list of "winning trainers" at the gyms. each of the 8 bits corresponds to one of the gyms. [ 01-13-2005, 09:21 PM: Message edited by: JDonald ]

I think he's using the work "pokegods" in a sarcastic way. They're probably just Glitch-type Pokemon that look different from MissingNo.

Yes, White Cat is correct. I used the term "pokegods" because that's the term used on many older Pokemon-GameShark websites to describe Missingno-like pokemon with species numbers greater than 150. The details are all spelled out in my FAQ. [ 01-13-2005, 09:21 PM: Message edited by: JDonald ]
