The following Precalculus courses are offered:
- MTH 099: Intermediate Algebra, 3 credits. (no credit for graduation)
- MTH 101: Algebra for College Students, 3 credits.
- MTH 103: Finite Mathematics, 3 credits.
- MTH 105: Algebra and Trigonometry, 5 credits.
- MTH 107: Precalculus Mathematics I, 3 credits.
- MTH 108: Precalculus Mathematics II, 3 credits.
- MTH 109: Introductory Calculus, 3 credits.
- MTH 110: Analytic Geometry and Calculus I, 5 credits.
Note: MTH 110 is also a calculus course, covering the material of MTH 111: Calculus I.
Assistance with precalculus coursework is available in the Math Lab.
The Math Placement Test or the student's SAT scores guide the selection of the appropriate
math course for each student. The Math Placement Test is given by the Department of Mathematics at the start of each
semester.
This chart guides course selection for students intending to satisfy the mathematics
requirement for graduation in the College of Arts and Sciences. Architecture students may elect MTH 109 after MTH 107
to satisfy the requirements of the School of Architecture. Note that MTH 110 requires MTH 105.
