Workshop Registration

To register for the conference, please download the WMBNA Registration Form, fill it out, and send it to wmbna@math.miami.edu.

The registration fee for the conference will be $170 and will include catered breakfast and lunch all three days of the conference. Advance payment will be by check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami. Payment in person may be by cash, check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami, or by traveler's checks.  If you are requesting financial support, do not pay the registration fee until you have been notified about whether we will be able to provide you with support.

Plenary speakers are exempt from the registration fee in recognition of their special efforts in making the conference a success.

Banquet

Part of the impetus for WMBNA is to honor our friend, collaborator and colleague Steve Cantrell on the occasion of his 60th birthday. We plan to have a banquet in Steve's honor on the evening of Saturday, December 20th. The cost for the banquet will be $100 per person and this will include the cost of transportation to and from the banquet site. Plenary speakers and Dr. Cantrell will be our guests at the banquet. Advance payment will be by check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami. Payment in person may be by cash, check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami, or by traveler's checks.

Accomodation

We have reserved a block of rooms for conference participants at a special price of $109/night at the Holiday Inn in Coral Gables for the nights of December 18th, 19th and 20th. This price will be offered until November 1, 2014. The Holiday Inn has convenient access to the Coral Gables campus of the University of Miami. We will make reservations directly for plenary speakers and for participants who are awarded partial support that covers their lodging. Participants who are awarded partial support will have 3 nights lodging directly billed to the conference. Such participants will be responsible for the cost of lodging for any additional night(s). Please note that such participants must first register in order for us to make a hotel reservation.

All other participants who are paying their own hotel costs, including invited speakers for the special sessions, are requested to make their own arrangements directly.

There are many other hotels in the Miami area in case the Holiday Inn fills up or participants prefer to stay elsewhere. 

Deadlines

Registration and Lodging. There will be no formal deadline per se for registration. However, the reserved rooms at the special price of  $109/night at the Holiday Inn Coral Gables will only be available until November 1, 2014.

Banquet. The deadline for registering for the banquet will be November 20, 2014.

Financial Support. In order to be considered for financial support, please register by October 6, 2014.  Participants who are being given partial support for their lodging must first register in order for us to make a hotel reservation, and we will need the dates of your stay by November 1, 2014 at the latest. Again, if you are planning to arrive earlier than the 18th or depart later than the 21st, we need to know that as soon as possible.
