Advance payment will be by check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami. Plenary speakers and special session organizers are exempt from the registration fee in recognition of their special efforts in making the conference a success.

Consequently, a participant who is applying for partial support should wait until he or she has been notified about whether we will be able to honor the request for support before paying the registration fee. However, please note that you must first register in order to be considered for partial support.

Banquet

Part of the impetus for EDM is to honor our friend, collaborator and colleague Chris Cosner on the occasion of his 60th birthday. We plan to have a wonderful banquet in Chris' honor on the evening of Saturday, December 15th. The cost for the banquet will be $100 per person and this will include cost of transportation to and from the banquet site. Plenary speakers and Dr. and Mrs. Cosner will be our guests at the banquet. Advance payment will be by check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami. Payment in person may be by cash, check on US bank made payable to the University of Miami, or by traveler's checks.

Checks for registration or for registration and banquet should be mailed to:

Accomodations

We have reserved a block of rooms at two hotels with convenient access to the Coral Gables campus of UM for the nights of December 13th, 14th and 15th. We will make reservations directly for participants on a first come first serve basis based on the order of registration, using the arrival and departure date information provided in the registration form. If you are arriving on the 12th and/or departing on the 17th, we will book you for those nights subject to availability at the hotels. If you are planning an extended stay in the Miami area, you will need to make arrangements for additional nights. Participants who are awarded partial support will have 3 nights lodging directly billed to the conference. Such participants will be responsible for the cost of lodging for any additional night(s). Please note that you must first register in order us to make a hotel reservation for you.

Room Sharing

Some participants may wish to share a room. If you plan to share a hotel room with another participant, please be sure to let us know so that we make only one room reservation.

Special Requests

If you need a room with two double beds versus a room with a single bed, or any other special request, we need to know that as soon as possible. Please email us at edm@math.miami.edu to let us know. Please put the words "Special Request" in the Subject line.

Deadlines

Registration. There will be no formal deadline per se for registration. However, participants must first register in order for us to make a hotel reservation, and we will need the dates of your stay by November 1, 2012 at the latest. Again, if you are planning to arrive earlier than the 13th or depart later than the 16th, we need to know that as soon as possible.
