| Teaching Assistantship |
The Math department offers Teaching Assistantships which normally entail 12 hours per week assisting with calculus labs, the math lab, teaching, and/or grading. The stipend for the academic year 2007-08 is $16,500 - $17,000 and an 18 credit tuition waiver. The graduate student stipend for incoming Master's Degree candidates is slightly less than the Ph.D. stipend.
The department endeavors to award Teaching Assistantships to outstanding graduate students as the budget permits.
| University Fellowship |
All applicants who send their applications in time for the January deadline are considered for a University Fellowship. The stipend for the academic year 2007-08 is $20,000 and an 18 credit tuition waiver.
| Summer Support |
Additional funding may be available during the summer for those who have an approved plan of study under supervision of a faculty member.
| Health Insurance |
